The Accused - Oh Martha! just like 1988 all over again. Awesome.

Jesu - S/T Good stuff from Justin Broderick in the vein of Isis and Neurosis and all those other weirdo ambient metal bands. The guitar sound on this one is really heavy.

Count me in as a Sufjan fan! This is like Beck doing chamber music with Vince Guaraldi on piano and Frank Zappa conducting.

Plus, an award goes for best songtitle ever:
"They Are Night Zombies!! They Are Neighbors!! They Have Come Back From The Dead!! Ahhhh!"

i'll second the vote for SUFJAN . i dig the tunes i downloaded and stuck on my ipod... very floaty, mez, very floaty!!!
thanks for the link, i'll have to purchase a couple, or all, of those soon. Reminds me of Beck, Shawn Smith, David Garza being shoved in a blender and this is the resulting thick drink that gets poured from the pitcher.

AKERCOCKE: Words That Go Unspoken, Deeds That Go Undone

I can't wait for this one. From what I've heard, it leaves Chronozone in the dust sonically. This Mendonca fellow is a true genius.

The last Akercocke is called "Choronzon", as in some "demonic" name, not a region of time. Words That Go Unspoken is more mature, certainly, you should like it.

I have the new Dragonforce album, "Inhuman Rampage". It's silly and fun.

Hahah...hey professor, give me a break. It took me a year just to be able to spell the name of the band right. Some of these "progressive" bands demand so much from their listeners........

Well, this was supposed to be the record that would make Mutantes huge worldwide, but never got released, for whatever reason. It was recorded in France, in 1970, and the production is top notch, even by today's standards. It's almost entirely sung in English (plus one song in Portuguese and one in French), which sounds a little weird to me, since I got used to listen to their music in Portuguese. It works though, they were a great band. Songs, most previously released in Portuguese, have kind of a psychedelic feel, not unlike 67-70 era Beatles. Highly recommended.

More vinyls...

1349 - Liberation
Cannibal Corpse - Kill
Carpathian Forest - Skiend Hans Lik
Finntroll - Visor Om Slutet
Gorgoroth - Pentagram
Soundgarden - Ultra Mega Ok
Venom - At War With Satan
Venom - Black Metal

I'm particularly pleased with the venom ones, they've just been reissued in gatefold sleeve and 180gm pristine vinyl. Earmark deserve credit for reissuing old classic metal albums on excellent quality vinyl.
