I've had Social Grace for years when it first came out and always thought it was very cool. Mosquito is a great slab of proggy metal also. I have to be in the right mood to listen to stuff like this but there's no denying the talent and superb musicianship in this band.
I just watched the 2 video clips on the dvd... very cool!!! Beware, the dvd is in PAL format, so make sure you have a player that will work with PAL.

I enjoy Dead Soul Tribe more than Psychotic Waltz because it's a little more straight forward, more hooks, heavier, better written songs but still very original.

Why did the Buddy Lackey change his name to Devon Graves, anyway?

This isn't something I bought but rather something I found in the bottom of my tape box....a whole bunch of Fripp music which I've been warping out to all morning....wonderful stuff thanks to Mean Mr Mustard......

Recent purchases:

1983 documentary on Fela Kuiti(originator of Afrobeat from Nigeria)

King Crimson-Happy to be Happy EP(title track has all time best hook IMO ever written)

Pulp-Different Class(JC does get a bit monotonous....but there are some great tunes on there for the BritPop fans out there, much lighter fare than THIS IS HARDCORE JC's masterpiece)

Virtual XI isn't their worst. Fear of the Dark and Seventh Son are both worse.

SEVENTH SON IS A GREAT ALBUM!!!! More progressive than most Maiden albums but a damn good album.

EVERYTHING released with Blaze singing SUCKED SHIT... and that's being nice Virtual X is total crap but you're right... ya gotta have it, just like me. If you collect a band ya take the bad with the good, until the bad out number the good and you say "Fuck this, why am I collecting these guys still?"

Metallic Attack The Ultimate Tribute To Metallica - picked this up at Walmart this morning . Killer cast of bands and players. Death Angel does 'Trapped Under Ice' reason alone to buy this. Also Features Dark Angel, Motorhead, Flotsam, Chuck Billy, Skolnick, Tommy Victor, Page Hamilton, Scott Ian, Joey Vera, Rocky George, Mike Inez, and many more

Clutch - Jam Room (not as 'catchy' as the last cd, but still cool) now on Megaforce

Why, aren't we all tired of seeing how Metallica "bettered" some songs they cover? It was about time someone betters some Metallica songs as well...

P.S.: check out Motorhead's own version of Enter Sandman, it's on some wrestling comp. It ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOCKS!!! \m/

ACTUALLY IT SOUNDS DAMN GOOD!!!!

Everything on the disc kicks ass (especially the Death Angel) with the exception of Joe Lynn Turner doing Nothing Else Matters. I still don't understand why they would ask they guy from Ugly Kid Joe to appear on this tribute!!!

Well, first off - I'm not a fan of Metallica.

Then, Motorhead is HUGELY more important and influential (according to me) in both the worlds of punk and metal. I don't know why they should cover the songs of their own intellectual offspring - in short - I am disturbed.

S.A. Slayer - Prepare to Die

re-issue on CD, 1000 numbered copies (this is ridiculous, I'm pretty sure they'll release more... )
and it's the only numbers printed, no label no date no 'compact disc' logo - but the cd trader is credited...
the sound is rather poor but it's a 1983 lost album anyway and I don't complain

hey I need that Metallica tribute! (for the Death Angel version! Trapped Under Ice is one of my favorites on Ride the Lightning)

Judas Priest - Stained Class (remaster) I kinda slowed down on buying all the remasters for a bit...still need Painkiller, and the 2 live albums. Got everything on CD or vinyls already of course, but it's nice to have these. The sound is great and the bonus tracks are way cool. Fire Burns Below is rather odd (drum machine and lots of keys) but very enjoyable.

Iron Maiden - The X Factor I guess I'm a sucker for punishment coz I bought both albums with BALZE on them in a week. Fucking terrible album, but I'm a whore for Steve Harris.
