FUCK!!!! Bands must love continually adding bonus stuff to their releases to make you buy the album over and over again. David Gilmour did this with his new one also. First the regular release, then came a release with a cd single of an unreleased tune, then a couple weeks ago they released it again with a bonus dvd. Now it looks like I need to track down my second version of Kreator's last masterpiece to get that dvd. COOL but frustrating. -------------------- yawn

My girlfriend gave me a $100.00 gift certificate to Record and Tape Trders so I went there today to use it up. Couldn't find too much new music that I wanted so I relied on some old classic hard rock that I still haven't added to my collection to use up the remaining money.Jon Olivia's Pain - Maniacal Renderings Rodrigo Y Gabriela - Rodrigo Y Gabriela Thin Lizzy - Greatest Hits dvd Pink Floyd - London 66/67 dvd Forrest Gump dvd Aerosmith - Aerosmith, Get Your Wings, Night In The Ruts (all remastered,,, just realized I forgot to grab Draw The Line) -------------------- yawn

Supertramp is awesome! I've been very tempted to go for these BMG deals but don't have the $$$ EDIT: Oh yeah, I forgot I never reply about something unless I post a recent purchase. Well about a month ago I got 94 East featuring Prince - If you Feel like Dancin', it's when Prince was 16 and he pretty much composed all the songs and plays guitar on all of them. --------------------

Picked a few during holidays:VOÏVOD - War and Pain box Not enough will ever be said about it. Now I realized what exactly I was missing! KING CRIMSON - In the Court of the Crimson King Fripp's 24 bit remaster. Great great GREAT!!! I - Between Two Worlds, IMMORTAL - Damned in Black I is a great acquisition for any Immortal fan. "Damned in Black" keeps the "At the Heart of the Winter" formula and enhances it with even more Thrash Metal. NILE - In Their Darkened Shrines, Annihilation of the Wicked Best Death Metal act nowadays by far, IMO. OPETH - Blackwater Park, Damnation Had them on CDr, thanks to Meg, but had to buy the originals. Both on the must-have category. CHRISTINA AGUILLERA - Back to Basics Originally bought it for my girlfriend but ended up keeping it for myself, hahaha. First CD is the usual crap, but the second CD is a quite pleasant surprise: all jazzy songs that, if aren't the best thing in the world, at least show that the girl CAN REALLY SING. THE DA VINCI CODE DVD The book itself was almost a movie script, so I figured out it would work better on screen. Right I was. NAPALM DEATH - Punishment in Capitals DVD Best concert DVD ever. Period. -------------------- "Forty-five moments of perfection translated through a cautionary escape into the perils of the mundane, the inherent entropy in ultimate order, and the potential threats of eternal, unchecked apathy in civilization; all cloaked in musical expression so thoughtful, creative and forward thinking that almost a quarter-century later, few can even comprehend it, much less match it." DAMN!!!! I was just sent another wmail for the buy 1 get 4 free, but they must love you more. I just went there and I'm having a hard time finding enough cds that I need or want to fill this deal. Maybe I'll look some more tonight and get some stuff just to try out. Hard to pass on a killer deal like that. Is it just me or was Tom Hanks a lame choice for the lead in the DaVinci Code? I can think of lots of better actors that would have been better. I loved the book but was a bit let down by the movie. I hear they are doing Angels & Demons next. The book rocked, and I enjoyed it more than the Davinci Code, so I'm looking forward to seeing this come to life on the screen.... even with Hanks and his emotionless performance. -------------------- yawn

It took me about 3 hours to read Da Vinci Code (it is highly mentioned on the extras and it's true, once you start reading it, you don't want to stop 'till you finish it). My opinion at the time was that, even if it was indeed entertaining, it was minor literature (as it happens to be with several bestsellers, sadly). On the other hand, one could point out that it was written with an eye on a movie adaptation. I liked the movie and I do like Tom Hanks, but I agree with you guys, his acting totally lacked the emotion required on this one. -------------------- "Forty-five moments of perfection translated through a cautionary escape into the perils of the mundane, the inherent entropy in ultimate order, and the potential threats of eternal, unchecked apathy in civilization; all cloaked in musical expression so thoughtful, creative and forward thinking that almost a quarter-century later, few can even comprehend it, much less match it."
