No, just the regular Sensory release. I did pre-order the special edition of O.S.I., however!!!

Also received the new Eclipsed Magazine ((which I can't read, because it's written in German), but it has a great sampler cd with Porcupine Tree, King Crimson, Arena, Karmakanic, We, The Gathering, RPWL, A.C.T., Peter Wahle's Amigo News, & Martigan.
This was mainly to add to my ever growing Porcupine Tree collection, but the sampler should bring many spins on the player!!!

I just saw it on a German Cirith Ungol site. Very cool. Great band. One Foot In Hell is my fave.

I just picked up these for the collection. Time to put the vinyl aside!

Judas Priest - British Steel (remaster)
Judas Priest - Defenders Of The Faith (remaster)
Rush - Grace Under Pressure (remaster)

Bolt Thrower - the IVth Crusade (no idea why I didn't get it before...) another perfect Bolt Thrower album. Back in my playlist every day.

Ratos de Porao - Onisciente Coletivo - Hey, on the cover it says 15 tracks but there are only 14 ? (Alternative Tentacles version)

Lofofora - Le Fond et la Forme French HC/crossover with bits of funky/jazzy grooves, excellent lyrics. This band is really amazing, check it out!

Prong - 100% Live

The last track, "Deus é Amor", actually is not a song. It is just some preacher speech (apparently some pathetic attempt on teaching a mentally retarded kid how to "preach").

Awesome pick, BTW.

My man MEZ typed: Porcupine Tree- In Abstentia, now I know what Schroeder has been screaming about for the last two years, now I got two copies!!!

and I see AngelRat was cool enough to pick it up along with Metanoia!!!

This band will grow on you like flesh eatting bacteria...I feel as though I cannot escape from being obsessed with collecting PT.
I just received the promo cd sigle of Blackest Eyes.

Steve Wilson will also be releasing a metal project of material that was deemed too heavy by the other members of the band. He tends to write WAT TO MUCH for every album and has lots of tunes still waiting to find the light of day.

ENJOY

BTW AngelRat where did you get Masters Of Reality - Flak 'n Flight, and how is it? I've been a fan since day one but it seems they stillcan't capture the magic of the first 2 releases. I'll have to look into this one.

I picked up the new Massive Attack and Nick Cave albums today. Both are really good ...and I was expecting the Massive Attack to suck!

No new metal lately, but I did buy every Motorhead album up too and including 1916

I'm expecting this thread will explode the week of March 4th with everyone letting us know they got the VOIVOD cd, and if they're smart they'll also pick up the new King Crimson "The Power To Believe" which is also released on the 4th.

I'm waiting on a whole bunch of rare OVERKILL cds that contain lots of extra tracks. I've never heard of these before but won them on Ebay a few days ago!!!

Is your "No Remorse" the double CD version? It's the (almost) only thing lacking in my Motörhead collection.

And there are some really great albums after 1916: Overnight Sensation, Everything Louder, We Are Motörhead... As is the case with AC/DC, every Motörhead album is a good album!

It's released on the Dutch Mascot label and there are 2 QOTSA members playing on it, so it's available here in any record shop. I don't know who's distributing it in the USA (if it ever was released over there). Maybe their website has some info?

About the album: it sure has it's moments, but overall I think it's a bit boring. Musicianship's more than OK, of course, but somehow the album can't hold my attention. Maybe it's the production (loud vocals, soft guitar), maybe they were too stoned (songs go on for much too long with too little happening) or maybe I wasn't in the right mood. I prefer the previous live album 'Reality Show' which has much more atmosphere, energy, intensity and MAGIC. The first album was cool, I don't have the second one. The 2 studio albums after that were great too.

Porcupine Tree: I discovered them when 'The Sky Moves Sideways' came out. I heard that one in a record store specialized in all sorts of obscure stuff. It was just playing when I walked in looking for some Hawkwind records. I stood nailed to the ground for a while. No Hawkwind that day, but I was very happy with my vinyl version of '...Sky...', Bought the cd later on; it had a extra track and I didn't want to wear out my vinyl. 'In Absentia' is their best album for years. Not that they ever made anything bad.

I went to MASTERS OF REALITY site yesterday and saw it was a live cd, which I think I'll pass on since there are too many other cool cds to buy.

IN ABSENTIA is without a doubt one of my fav cds of all time, if not #1. It's got everything!!! My 2 favorite songs on it are Heartattack In a Lay By & Creator Has A Master Tape... they take you from one extreme to the other. Not many bands can pull that off, and still make it sound genius and original.

Slaytanic: The Overkill cds have lots of live stuff and one of them have the original songs from their very first EP "Overkill" which predates Feel The Fire, which I thought was their first release. I can't wait to get them. Go to their site and download the song KILLOGY, it 's great, and an extra track on one of the import discs.

I finaly got Pink Floyd's "Meddle" on CD. What a great album. You forget how many great albums that Pink Floyd has outside of the frequently praised (deservedly) "Dark Side of the moon" and "the Wall". This is a very enjoyable listen.

Hey, WHOA!
This is the first I have heard about this.
What are the tracks, and do you plan to digitize them anytime soon?

============
Blue Oyster Cult - Curse of the Hidden Mirror

Oh Lord of the Black Blade, I hate to say this, but this CD is utter CRAP.
One of my favorite all-time bands has gone completely over into
FM radio-friendly, unimaginative classic rock pablum.

VERY disappointing.

2 Septic Death-covers ('Thaw' and 'Terror Rain'). And I don't really have the means to digitize them, sorry.

Apparently the colours of the LP are different too. Someone from the Napalm-site (he lives in Paris) has bought it too and it was in light-grey vinyl.

Tangeto bought Blue Oyster Cult - Curse of the Hidden Mirror
and I must agree I also was totally upset when I bought when it was released. I really enjoyed their prevoius cd HEAVEN FORBID and hoped this one would have been in line with it, but alas it failed, big time. After a few more listens I didn't mind a few tracks but overall, it's a letdown by a band I really enjoy.

Just received some cool trades of live shows by:
Alice In Chains
King Crimson
Gov't Mule
21st Century Schizoid Band

Major haulage this week from some buddies n the Iron Maiden BB who I trade file with via Streamload:

Running Wild - Gates To Purgatory

Running Wild - Branded And Exiled

Running Wild - Pile Of Skulls

Accept - Restless And Wild

Children Of Bodom - Hate Crew Deathroll

Stormwitch - Tales Of Terror

Stormwitch - Stronger Than Heaven

Stormwitch - Dance With The Witches

Borknagar - Empiricism

Nuclear Assault - Game Over/The Plague

Helloween - Better Than Raw

Plus a few tracks from Old Man's Child, Toranaga, Elvenking, Darkthrone, Alas, Sorskogen and Myrkskog.

I had some of the stuff on vinyl already, but now I can crank the CDs up in the car.
The Children Of Bodom album is kicking my ass right now. Much better than Follow The Reaper. The Helloween, Stormwitch and Running Wild's Pile Of Skulls are geettting lots of play too. I lost intrest in RW after the Under Jolly Roger album, but POS blew my socks off, so I'm gonna get Blazon Stone and Death Or Glory next. They're headlining at Wacken this year. Fuck, I wish I could go.
