David Gilmour - Live in Gdansk (2cd-2dvd)the Slayer Reign in Blood book was pretty cool. It had some good behind the scenes stuff and lots of quotes from those directly involved and those inspired by the greatest thrash album of all time. The Masters Of Reality Black sabbath book was a bit strange because it was written like a fiction book from the point of view of a teenager who gets locked up in a hospital because his parent thought he needed "help", and it's set up like you're reading his journal. There's no quotes from anyone involved in making the record, no real research involved, and some of the things written about Sabbath, like Gillan replacing Ozzy aren't even true. Certainly not what I expected, but an interesting quick read from a unique point of view and how MoR effected this character. -------------------- yawn

This hasn't been a particularly nice year, at least for CD shopping. Last time I bought a CD was late January. Anyway, life is not totally bad when you get these two little gems: VOIVOD - Nothingface I already had "Nothingface", what I finally got is the MCA version of the CD. Super cool, I only had the shitty Noise edition. AC/DC - Plug Me In (3-Disc version) If anybody here doesn't have it yet, my advice is to go buy it as soon as you can. I got mine as a gift from my dearly beloved, hehehehe. It's 3 DVDs of live material from all the eras of the band. Great stuff, even better than Family Jewels. -------------------- "Forty-five moments of perfection translated through a cautionary escape into the perils of the mundane, the inherent entropy in ultimate order, and the potential threats of eternal, unchecked apathy in civilization; all cloaked in musical expression so thoughtful, creative and forward thinking that almost a quarter-century later, few can even comprehend it, much less match it." Hey Sir Mez! Seconded. I love Daylight Dies, they totally rule! You also know Dismantled Devotion ? Wonderful, dedicated production, great vibe, compared to some old tired millionaires called mtallika for instance. Long time no see, eh? That's why I greet you from the frosten city of Zurich, Switzerland, where as a matter of fact I live next to some frostie called Martin Ain. Cheers, S. -------------------- What the...?

Schroeder, can you listen to music using each ear independantly like some heavy metal chameleon? I can't figure out how anyone can have so much time to devote to listening. I only have my 3 hour a day commute, but thats still not enough. btw - Burning Beard = great video! -------------------- Der der der-der DER! Der der der-der DER! DER!
