I kinda miss the daily posts by Schroeder on this thread. Does anyone else still buy cd's?

I got a few last weeks:

Monster Magnet Milking The Stars
Nordagust In The Mist Of Morning
Blue Oyster Cult Imaginos
Primordial Where Greater Men Have Fallen
King Crimson The Elements Tour Box 2014
Pink Floyd The Endless River

Also all three vinyls by Toner Low, and a bunch of used vinyls, including some My Dying Bride, Atheist, Necrophagia, Metal Church and many more...

I miss the Schroeder posts as well! I'm still buying CDs and LPs (I'm not a vinyl snob - I like both formats). Sadly, I really think Facebook is killing message boards and VVF is feeling the effects. The status of the band ain't helping much either.

Anyway, I hit a couple more shops in Manhatten... a place called Other Records and a funky little "cash only" shop called A-1 Records. Came home with these...

Vinyl...
- Audience: Lunch
- Can: Flow Motion [2014 reissue]
- Magma: Rïah Sahïltaahk
- Main: Motion Pool [3x12-inch EPs]
- Tangerine Dream: Phaedra
- Tangerine Dream: Ricochet

I actually bought the Can LP here in Seattle.

A couple CDs as well...
- Hawkwind: s/t album [2001 expanded/remaster]
- Sleep: Dopesmoker [2003 release]

Bought some stuff lately:

MACHINE HEAD - Bloodstone And Diamonds (kind of a letdown);
RATOS DE PORÃO - Crucificados pelo Sistema - 30 anos (Nice DVD with a documentary and the anniversary gig played by the original lineup);
ANTHRAX - Spreading the Disease;
TESTAMENT - Formation of Damnation;
TWISTED SISTER - Live At Wacken (strangely this version does not contain the entire show, it's permeated with lots of interview segments, what a bummer. I'd rather watch the entire concert).

Also some cd's:

New King Crimson live cd and new At The Gates album (which is pretty damn good).

Amazon seduced me again:

Yes- Close to the Edge
Yes Album

Moraine- Groundswell(just realized this came out about a year ago.....how the hell did I miss that memo?)

Enslaved- In Times (aside from VV, this is probably the only other 'metal' band whose latest I will order or preorder as soon as its released....used to be Death Angel too but their last two were extremely weak IMO..., so no thanks)

Nice Paul. Aren't Coroner in writing mode right now? Least that's what I thought I heard couple months ago. Should be interesting..........loved that band.

My 'Close to the Edge' got cancelled so naturally I had to find it again and order two more:

Yes-Close to the Edge
Screaming Headless Torso's-1995
Rob Mazurek-Return the Tides(this guy is phenomenal):

MARDUK - Frontschwein
CYNIC - Traced In Air
NAPALM DEATH - Apex Predator - Easy Meat
METALLICA - Beyond Magnetic
BURZUM - Fallen
TRYPTYKON - Melana Chasmata

And a box containing the 5 first albums by a local rock'n'roll band called Ultraje a Rigor that I couldn't pass, verá good.

I made a musical trip to Japan.

I bought the discography of
嘘つきバービー(Lying Barby) album
ニニニニ(Ninini)
https://youtu.be/6SaXgTi4MZA?list=PL-lpHicQ2eW5Q1XEZ_CjkBeWvw3fttNKE
https://youtu.be/32DS3o2T4VE?list=PLklr80_KYDNpB7_c7M-XMWzW17PPKvXGW
Get a little repetitive, but some nice riff, videos and foolishness
I'm 50/50 on this band

バックドロップシンデレラ(backdrop cinderella)
last for album
https://youtu.be/ziQxzOhVR1w
https://youtu.be/JuxI87WpJkQ
https://youtu.be/JuxI87WpJkQ
and other.
A lot of twist mix of genre that bring a smiles in the face and life look like a manga.around 4 out of 5.

And a little disapointment

八十八ヶ所巡礼(88 place of pilgrimage)
first album nice八 + 八
https://youtu.be/JuxI87WpJkQ
but some other songs are best. Rest of the discography decrease towards a repetive recipe. If you totally like how the singer sings, maybe you will like more.

Couldn't find their cd so I download Midori.
Again you like or hate or even just a ...meh
