DARKTHRONE - Under A Funeral Moon.

Isn't there a black metal thread goin' round?

I knew I'd get some shit for the Dido cd, but I don't care. I dig her voice and the tunes are a very cool, jazzy style that just flows. I actually got into her from that Eminem tune that she's on... go ahead...flame me for listening to Eminem
Anyway, I probably won't get a chance to watch the Zappa dvd until Monday when I'm off work, but I'll give ya a review.

Onto the new arrivals:
All the DREAM THEATER Officail Boot cds arived today!!!
The Making Of Scenes From A Memory 2cds
The Majesty Demos 85-86
Tokyo Japan 10/28/95 2cds
Master Of Puppets
When Day And Dream Unite Demos 87-89 2cds
Los Angeles 5/18/98 2cds (with 3 Maiden covers)

Electric Wizard - We Live

5ive's Continuum Research Project - the Hemophiliac Dream

UK Subs - Countdown + Europe Calling

Troy Gregory - Sybil
(for 2 euros... I had to give it a try; he's playing with different bands, mostly garage punk rock; some good tunes)

Holocaust - Smokin' Valves (the Anthology)
(not approved by the band, oh well I wanted to know more about them; then I found:
Holocaust - Primal

Natas + Dragonauta - Split
(rather clean sounding stoner rock with jazzy drums, both from Argentina apparently?)

Deceased - Rotten to the Core (album of punk covers, including tunes from the Plasmatics, English Dogs, Cro-Mags, Verbal Abuse (rocks your liver), Excel, Raw Power... )
But once again it wasn't the right cd in the box (and that sucks, I really want it!), so I bought
Deceased - Supernatural Addiction

Agrotoxico - Estado de Guerra Civil
Finally found it - great HC punk; I hope I can catch them on the European Tour in september!
www.agrotoxicohc.com.br (web site by Mr Eddy)

Adrenalin OD - AOD Themes - Rare & unreleased demos 1982

V.A. Lookey Dookey / Talking Trash
(garage soul rhythm n blues from the 50's)

Primus - Animals should not try to act like people
(for my new DVD player)

TRIBUTE TO SARCÓFAGO

A tribute to the old Black Metal heroes, run by their record company, Cogumelo Records. Lots of great bands: Angel Corpse, Satyricon, Impaled Nazarene, Exhumed, just to name a few.

But no Sepultura, mind you.

It's RUSH!!! It's interesting to hear them play a bunch of old covers, and since the last couple of studio releases didn't really thrill me, this is kinda cool. I'll buy everything they release; but, I wish they woulda picked more obscure tunes. They do a good job on all the tunes but I think it would have been better to hear songs that weren't as popular as these were/are.

Just my 2 cents. Every Rush fan should have this cd, but not every music fan needs it.

That's it, you convinced me, I'm buying it as soon as it gets a domestic release here. Actually, that's exactly what I wanted to hear/read.

Carcass - Necroticism: Descanting the Insalubrious
Morbid Angel - Entangled in Chaos

I like both very much indeed. It's also occurred to me that "Necroticism: Descanting the Insalubrious" is one of the most gorgeous album titles to say out loud, ever.
