More from my Amazon buying frenzy: Redemption - The Origins of Ruins Redemption - This Mortal Coil (2 cd) Redemption = The Fullness of Time Redemption - Snowfall on Judgement Day (I've always enjoyed Ray Adler's vocal, so I'm not sure why I put off buying these for so long)Tribuzy - Execution (stumbled across this while searching for Bruce Dickinson stuff. he sings on a couple tracks and all the samples sounded pretty impressive anyway) *after listening to the first batch of discs i received yesterday i reminded myself to STOP making impulse purchases, since a couple of the cds ended up being pretty boring and I lost interest quickly. The Circus Maximus album falls into that list. the samples sounded pretty cool, but overall the album is redundant prog metal that's been done a million times by every average prog metal band... YAWN. Luckily I only purchased the one album of theirs and not their entire catalog like I do a lot of times with some bands that peak my interest. -------------------- yawn

Seriously man, that is a major haul of heavy tunes. Nice. Probably the last finds of 2011 for me here... - Jane: Together - Jane: Earth, Fire, Water, & Air - Rush: Moving Pictures [Deluxe Edition] - Witchfinder General: Death Penalty Jane is some pretty nice German prog from the 70's... kind of in the vein of Pink Floyd, though maybe a bit darker. Been looking for that first one "Together" for a while now. -------------------- I am a robot... bleep blop bloop

I have some serious gaps to fill in my collection, so I decided why not starting. In the process, I get to remember one more time how 80's Metal is amazing. And Paul, maybe you should give Obsessed By Cruelty another chance. I also didn't like it in the past, but now, after some listening, I have a newfound love for it. -------------------- "Forty-five moments of perfection translated through a cautionary escape into the perils of the mundane, the inherent entropy in ultimate order, and the potential threats of eternal, unchecked apathy in civilization; all cloaked in musical expression so thoughtful, creative and forward thinking that almost a quarter-century later, few can even comprehend it, much less match it." Every time I read some musician's autobiography (or biography) I get compelled to complete my collection of cds released by said artist. Just finished reading "Fall To Pieces" by Scott Weiland's ex wife Mary ( reviews said it was way better than Scott's book) which was an interesting read about addiction the modeling biz and being married to a addiction singer.Velvet Revolver - Libertad (I enjoyed the first one for the most part, never picked this one up and got it for under $4 on Amazon including shipping. I enjoy Weiland's voice although some of the songs he's sung on are weak. I have NO intention of buying his Christmas cd) Reading Ace Frehley's "No Regrets" book now and enjoying it a lot. Not sure what that will end up making me purchase. I was never a fan of frehley's Comet but grew up on KISS like so many of us 40 somethingers. -------------------- yawn

Frehley is by far my favorite kisser. It did hurt me hè left kiss in THE 80's. I hated bruce kulick and even more thayer although hè nicely took ace fill. If you are going to complete THE kiss collection i wish you luck, this is à big one indeed. It surprises me there are still so many kissfans.... I particularly listen to THE old stuff and also the 70's solo albums are favorite wen i need to get away from meshuggah, slayer, morbid angel, tryptikon etc... -------------------- trrrrr ta trrrrr ta trrrrr ta trrrrr ta trrrrr ta trrrrr trrrrr ta trrrrr ta trrrrr ta trrrrr ta trrrrr ta trrrrr

That Forest Of Equalibrium reissue does look nice. Really been enjoying the Anniversary double live effort as of late here.Somebody must have decided to unload their Judas Priest remasters recently, becuase the shop by my work had a pile of used copies in stock for $4-$5 each. Walked out with the folling.... - Judas Priest: Sin After Sin [rm] - Judas Priest: Britsh Steel [rm] - Judas Priest: Defenders Of The Faith [rm] - Judas Priest: Turbo [rm] - Judas Priest: Ram It Down [rm] ... and for good measure - AC/DC: If You Want Blood [rm] Now my collection reads "Judas Pri st"! I suppose I need to buy Priest...Live! to get the full effect! -------------------- I am a robot... bleep blop bloop

SAXON - A Metal Crusade: A Tribute to Saxon (Agent Steel covers heavy Metal Thunder, so I had to have it... the samples from all the other bands on here sounded pretty cool also)Scorpions - 3 Original Album Classics: In Trance - Virgin Killer - Taken By Force (cardboard slip case with 3 mini lp style sleeves.) These "Original Album Classic" releases that have been issued for a lot of different bands is a great way to get a bunch of albums from one artist at an amazing price. I paid about $10 for the Scorpions one which was great since I didn't have any of these cds in my collection already.) -------------------- yawn
