Yeah, I'm into a lot of different stuff, but Voivod is my 2nd favorite all time band going back to 1988. #1, The Cure. #3, Skinny Puppy. But I listen to Voivod more than anything right now!!!

That Emperor album RULES!!!! Haven't listened to the Prince album yet.

Today I found Cradle Of Filth - From The Cradle To Enslave E.P. used for $6.00! I almost bought several Anthrax CDs too, but I have to watch my cash flow right now. Since I already have them on vinyl or cassette, I decided to hold off.

I've been a bit skint lately so I've been getting CD's out fro mthe library at £1 a pop and copying them.

Unfortunatly they don' have any Razor or Burzum so I had to make do with Eliza Carthy, who rocks in her own blue-haired slightly plump violinist folk-chick way.

OKAY, I know you have all been wondering why I haven't posted as often on this topic, since usually I have every 3rd or 4th post here to tell you about all the music I've been receiving, well, I've still been getting a shit load of new cds, but mostly live shows from Porcupine Tree, Rush, Gov't Mule, Yes, The Who, and some others, but didn't want to bore with the details. Also received some mega rarities for my Porcupine Tree Collection, that you wouldn't give a shit about (but if you do go to my site
PURE NARCOTIC).

Anywho, I got a couple of official releases (with many more in transit):
OPETH - Damnation
HELSTAR - Remnants Of War (anyone remember this great album fronm 'the day'?)

more to follow...I know you all are waiting to see what I'm getting so you can buy it too

Just got the nem DJ Krush album- The message at the depth, and it's... undiscribable! for those of you who do not know him, it can be best described as abstract hiphop, but even this definition does not cover adequately the music. He is Japanese, btw.

HYPOCRISY-TEN YEARS OF CHAOS AND CONFUSION

OMG, This compilation killsssssssss!!!!!! I just love this band. The only true death metal band left. Thanks to Skully for turning me on to this incredible group. Also the first album I've "bought" since the latest VV.

Are you kidding??!? HELSTAR! Best metal band EVER from Houston, Texas. I used to go to some of their gigs, real cool guys. I think Nosferatu is their best album. Too bad they had to break up. They would do reunion shows every once in a while whenever James Rivera was in town. The drummer and one of the guitarists (not Andre Corbin) ended up joining my freind's band after he buried Helstar. The good 'ol days!!!

By the way I wasn't wondering why you haven't bought any new CDs because I thought you have them all already LOL!

HA HA HA ... I opened the cd after posting this so I could liten to it, and the cd is printed for the Lightbulb Sun disc, but the music recorded is some classical opera!!!
I'm going to keep it as a rare misprint for my collection...but never listen to it, since I'm really not into opera.

Ok h, heres a big gallon-jug of ale. sorry I haven't got a bung to seal it up, you'll just have to carry it carefully in the hot sun all the way across the town.

I see you've got long trousers on and its very hot, but see that the ale gets to her safely, ok?

(ha haaaa! I've secretly marked it with a pencil and Mrs H knows this...let the Ale Challenge commence!)

I got the new Rush one (Vapour Trails) about a year ago, and only now am I getting into it. I think its the best and heaviest thing they've done since Moving Pictures and Geddy has never sung better.

Test for Echo, on the other hand, was IMHO the weakest one ever.

Tomahawk – Mit Gas
This disc officially comes out tomorrow, but I got the opportunity to hear the album in it’s entirety yesterday. The band has already been selling the new album at their shows. My brother in law picked one up when they played in Anaheim recently and we hung out last night and listened to it. This album is absolutely great. I know Mike Patton has his share of followers and haters, both for good reasons, but this album deserves a listen by both. Great album. It seems that this is a project that exists for the right reasons and for the long haul (hopefully). What I mean is, Tomahawk doesn’t seem to exist as an experiment or a joke or a tease. They sound like a band. And this album is good. I think that Voivod fans just might be able to sink their teeth into this one. If you liked the first Tomahawk album, I think you’ll love this one. After one listen, I think Mit Gas is hands down a better album. Check it out.

BLACK SABBATH & BLUE OYSTER CULT - BLACK AND BLUE DVD
PORCUPINE TREE - an assortment of live shows from the European tour

Now to go find a copy of TOMAHAWK to buy...thanks Mr Mustard, I had no idea one was coming out
Tomorrow I go see Kingsd X and Fishbone, who are playing in Ocean City Maryland...too fucking cool

BTW: Mez How the fuck is it you NEVER heard THE NUMBER OF THE BEAST? This album sealed the rivits into my 'metal head' and there was no turning back after hearing Dickinson belt out Hallowed Be Thy Name. GOD-LIKE, and a true metal classic.
Lots of good cds being bought and I'm somewhat surprised that it's taken some people so long to buy some of these titles.

Wino is the coolest mofo out there! Haven't heard his new project yet. I'm looking forward to the new Place Of Skulls (ex-Saint Vitus, ex-Obsessed, ex-Pentagram AND ex-Trouble-members, imagine!) album.

BTW: Wino didn't sing on the first Vitus albums. Scott Reagers was their lead vocalist back then. An awesome and unique talent in his own way. Wino joined for their 3rd album 'Born Too Late'.
