Nice, I need to check out that Death Angel for certain.Picked up a couple of CDs today. - The Sword: Warp Riders - Boris & Ian Astbury: BXI Gave Warp Riders a spin today and like it better than the last one, so far. Haven't even heard the Boris/Ian Astbury collaboration, but looked too interesting to pass up. -------------------- I am a robot... bleep blop bloop

After a while, I got some stuff last Saturday:EMPEROR - Live Inferno (nice box, with 2 CDs and a DVD, covering Emperor's comeback in 2007 for what seems like a true farewell. Essential.) BRUTAL TRUTH - For The Ugly And Unwanted This Is Grindcore (nice image, terrible sound mixing, to the point that it ruins the package. Okay, BT are not exactly masters of precision even in the studio, but come on, the audio mixing ruins it.) -------------------- "Forty-five moments of perfection translated through a cautionary escape into the perils of the mundane, the inherent entropy in ultimate order, and the potential threats of eternal, unchecked apathy in civilization; all cloaked in musical expression so thoughtful, creative and forward thinking that almost a quarter-century later, few can even comprehend it, much less match it." Ah, I need both that Clutch and that Soundgarden, Dave. Essential pickups! How's the Clutch DVD? Suppose I just need to go buy it, haha.Found a couple of Wire CDs on Saturday... Somehow completely missed these guys in the 80's and only discovered them a few years back... Amazing early releases and still pretty good today. - Wire: Read & Burn 01 - Wire: Object 47 -------------------- I am a robot... bleep blop bloop

Sufjan Stevens: The Age of Adz (You're missing a lot if you don't know this songwriter. Brilliant doesn't begin to describe his work)Joe Satriani: Not of this Earth (I've been wanting to get this for a long time. IMO his best work) Steele Panther: Feel the Steele Check this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzUPG8olnO0&ob=av2e Possibly the best song in the last decade. My other acquisition didn't involve any trip to Best Buy or Amazon. I was showing a house for short sale and noticed a box in the corner of one of the bedrooms. I opened it up and it was chock full of records. Surprisingly there was some good stuff in there. The owners had long ago cleared out....so I didn't feel too guilty about taking them. Here's what I grabbed:
David Lee Roth - Eat'em and Smile (yeah, I know but the cover is fantastic) Van Halen - 1984 Frank Zappa - Sheik Yourbuti Led Zepplin - Song Remains the Same Van Halen - Fair Warning Judas Priest - British Steel Iron Maiden - Number of the Beast All in near mint condition...I couldn't believe it!!!! Plus I sold the house to the people...Not a bad eh???

Nice finds Lee! Plus, actually selling the house is a good thing too. Finally received Mekong Delta's "Wanderer On The Edge Of Time" in the mail the other day. Hooray for that one! Found myself near a shop I don't usually get a chance to hit and picked up the following CDs. - Atomic Bitchwax: Atomic Bithwax II - Atomic Rooster: In Hearing Of… [expanded deluxe edition] - Death Angel: Relentless Retribution [the deluxe version/w DVD... $11.99? YES!] - Faust: Faust IV - D.R.I.: Crossover [Millenium Edition w/extra tracks] - Grand Magus: Iron Will - Venom: Eine Kleine Nachtmusik [remaster/reissue - $6 convinced me to upgrade from my old OWL version of this CD, haha] -------------------- I am a robot... bleep blop bloop
