Glad you liked the Jolly Dave.

I recently picked up at a used store:

Living Colour-Times Up
Steve Vai-Passion & Warfare
GunsNRoses-The Spaghetti Incident
Paul Westerberg-14 Songs
Alice In Chains-Unplugged

I think the total was like $20.14

Order two of those revolving racks this week and can't wait until they arrive. It's been ages since I've had all my CDs in one place.

Picked up a few used CDs this week too.
- AC/DC: Let There Be Rock (2003 remaster/digipack]
- Jethro Tull: Benefit [2001 remaster]
- Steve Hillage: Green
- Led Zeppelin: s/t first album [Japan mini-LP edition]
- Wire: Red Barked Tree

For some reason, I never picked up all the Zeppelin albums on CD back in the 80s or 90s, so have been making a point to get most of these as Japan Mini-LP versions since they are so fucking cool.

Let me know what you think of the towers X-D. It'so nice for me to be able to have literally thousands of cds in one place, and being as anal as I am, to have them in alphabetical chronological order, making finding what I'm looking for so much easier. I'm to a point however where my 5 towers are getting stuffed and there's really no more space in the room for another one (unless I run some electric for a ceiling light & ditch the floor lamp... I just now realized that could work). I've been considering boxing a few hundred less listened to discs up and put them in a closet to free up some space for new discs.

The dilemmas of being a collector.

I love that old Steve Hillage stuff. Green is great!

Got an EOLB Eklectric promo from H at Roadburn. That is a fine piece of music. I'm not that familiar with the other albums and did only listen it on my computer streaming it. Damn what a shame, because this sounds so much better on my stereo. Buy it, it's fantastic, it really is.

Totally agree!!!! All 3 EOLB albums area must have for any fan of great music. I've had it happen a bunch of times where I listen to something on my PC and it doesn't even come close to what the hard copy sounds like. That's why I'll always buy the cd or vinyl if I'm given a choice.

i saw this yesterday and was overly pleased. hot damn early 90's vedder! this will be fantastic once its released!

lastnight i picked up the new ulver album which i really like! i wish more of it was like the first song, but over all its pretty similar to the direction they've been going in for a couple albums now.

i also got evilangel's unholy fight for metal album which is crushing black thrash! and witching hour's rise of the desecrated album which also totally slays! mmmmmm thhhraaaaash

Curious about how you feel abou this one after you get a chance to spend some time with it. I've already kind of bad-mouthed this on the forum here, but the Voivod nerd in me is having an urge to buy it anyway... Wish it was a proper release of these great albums on vinyl.

Just one new CD to report... Hanging back until those spinning racks arrive.

Yeah, the Pearl Jam doc looks really cool. I'd especially like to see the early home video stuff...pretty strange seeing that video of Staley when he was so young.

I just feel happy as a collector of official Voivod vinyl, but the band nerd in me says "it's a shame it isn't all of it".

At the other side..., it sounds fckn great on vinyl, out of my old fashion stereo set and chunky speakers

Under the line I'm glad they did release it after all and I had a good old fashion unpacking moment of some new piece of Voivod vinyl. It brings the kid in me above

Wow Dave, that deluxe edition of Moving Pitures sounds great!

My new CD racks arrived this last week and I was finally able to set them up this week. They are great, but my small little house needs to re-organization to accomodate these things. Have them in a temporary location and it's awesome being finally able to get at all of my stuff now.

A couple of mail-order items arrived as well... both CDs.

- Razor: Violent Restitution
- Whiplash: Power And Pain/Ticket To Mayhem
