That is quite stupid and retarded that the 3 bonus songs (well 4 actually, if you include the "Naivete" song only available on the Japanese version) were not put all on one CD, it would still only be 72 or 73 minutes. Not only a dumb marketing ploy, but what a waste of plastic and stuff, which is a waste to begin with haha.
The Naivete" tune was also an exclusive track for Best Buy stores, and once I heard it I needed to buy a copy if and the only way to get it was in a box set that included a T-Shirt, but it was still worth it. Yeah, it's ridiculous every track could have fit on 1 cd but they were definitely marketing this to all the crazy (or stupid) collectors like myself who would end up buying a couple different versions to help boost sales. Hell I would have bought 13 on vinyl if they included all the bonus songs, but the vinyl only has the first 9 songs.... fuckin stupid. Label's marketing departments should include a collector fan (like me) who would help make decisions about what to release to the fans so they don't get pissed off and feel like we are getting ripped off; but, get cool products. We are at the mercy of idiots in most cases. -------------------- yawn

A few different things this week.- Voivod: Kluskap O' Kom [grey 7-inch] - Iron Maiden: Maiden England '88 [2x DVD set] - Deathrow: Deception Ignored - Metallica: $9.98 CD When the $5.98 EP/$9.98 CD came out I originally opted for the vinyl (which I still have). I picked up a CD copy of the EP from a friend in the '90s, but it was pretty beat up, so was a relief to find a really clean copy of this CD for only $7 this week. -------------------- I am a robot... bleep blop bloop

After reading Dave Ellefson's extremely boring autobiography "My Life With Deth" I was intrigued to look into a few of his side projects and just received these:Temple of Brutality - Lethal Agenda Killing Machine - Metalmorphosis (James Rivera is the singer on this so it should be pretty damn good) also: PINK FLOYD - Division Bell (clear light blue vinyl) -------------------- yawn

I'm always intrigued to hear what musicians do outside of their main band that made them famous. The book was just Ellefson being a nice guy and pretty much preaching God throughout the page (YAWN) but I respect him as a musician and what he's done. It was worse than Iommi's book. Temple of Brutality could have been great with a better singer. I enjoyed Killing Machine since I've always like Rivera's vocals. I wouldn't even consider buying his F6 (or whatever it's called) after hearing some online samples.I'm now reading the Dream Theater "Lifting Shadows" authorized bio and it's very in depth and enjoyable. Nothing held back. I had no idea the band went through so much shit with labels, managers, members, etc. Very good read. in the mail today: Dream Theater - Original Album Series (images & words - awake - falling into infinity - Metropolis 2: scenes from a memory - train of thought) love these little box set collections. -------------------- yawn

Just a few things... - Darkestrah: Манас - Ghost: If You Have Ghost EP - Swans: Filth/Body To Body, Job To Job Really liking the new Darkestrah album, a lot. Great progression in musical styles with these guys, deeper, richer... lots to dig! I'll give Ghost one more album cycle to get it back on track, but not loving what they've been up to in 2013. -------------------- I am a robot... bleep blop bloop
