RAMMSTEIN - Völkerball

Nice one, CD+DVD from a great Rammstein concert in France. Highly recomended.

CDS:
CLUTCH - "Heard it all Before" live at the HiFi Bar 2cd

TROUBLE - Unplugged (finally this gets released after too damn long. yes, it was worth the wait)

DVDS:
HALFORD - Rock In Rio 3 2001
SAVATAGE - Live in Japan 1994 (with Alex Skolnick on geetar)
BRUCE DICKINSON - Brazil 1997
ROGER WATERS - Libon 2006

the 4 dvds above came from ROCK DVD 4U They have a shitload of great stuff on dvd that has never officially been released on dvd. I've been dying to see the Savatage concert for years but they never released the vhs tape concert on dvd officially. They have a great rating system so you know what you'll be getting as far as quality. Right now their running a buy 3 get one free and at $7.99 for singles and $11.99 for double dvd shows + a small shipping fee, it's a great bargain. You get a DVD+R disc in an envelope with the title written on it and they email you a link to download and print out the art. Fast and cheap. So far I've watched 1/2 of the Savatage dvd and it's incredible.

Is Dave the only one around here who buys albums anymore?? Damn....no buddy, I always enjoy reading about what you pick up. Glad somebody is still doing it. Makes me wonder how much longer the album as we know will even be around. I'd hate to think about the day when everything becomes an mp3. Disgusting!

The day that can't can't buy a hard copy of music with packaging, art, on vinyl or disc is the day I seriously contemplate suicide. Hopefully that day will never come while I'm still thrashin about the planet.

I hear that Lee! I too enjoy reading about Dave's ever expanding collection. If it weren't for the famility unit, I'd be going at about the same pace, haha. I love Mp3s, but I don't consider it secured until I actually own it on LP or CD.

I've been continiously buying CDs and vinyl, but not really been having much of a chance to post... Some purchases from this past month or so:
CDs
- Melechesh: Djinn
- The Bakerton Group: s/t
- Clutch: Heard It All Before (Live At The HiFi Bar) ~ordered this from Australia and it was worth every red cent
- Sigh: Imaginary Soniscape
- Budgie: In For The Kill
- Krux: s/t & Krux II (just got Krux II in the mail today)
- Isis: The Red Sea, SNGL>5, & Celestial
- Gong: Camebert Electrique
- Karl Sanders: Sauran Meditation
- Candlemass: Dactylis Glomerata (special 2-disc edition)
- Drudkh: SOngs Of Grief & Sollitude
found in a local shop today...
- Destruction: Sentence Of Death/Infernal Overkill & All Hell Breaks Loose (used for $7 each)
Vinyl:
- Candlemass: From The 13th Sun (2-LP special release w/3 bonus tracks)
- Darkestrah: The Way To Paganism EP
- The Soft Machine: s/t
- Hawkwind: Warrior On The Edge Of Time (fucking awesome)
- Eloy: Inside (also awesome)
- Black Oak Arkansas: s/t (Hot'N'Nasty!)
and because I have a 4 year old...

Oh, and of course, the Live After Death DVD! Fucking-A it's great to finally have this in hand. The 2nd disc is, as expected, quality! Love the "History Of..." docs!

Excessive post? Perhaps, haha.

Hey X-D it seems a lot of people aren't smart enough to order the CLUTCH disc directly from Austrailia, because it's always on Ebay for a lot more $$$. As soon as I saw it on Ebay I checked out their site and ordered my copy from Austrailia... fuckin great live show and cool that Bakerton Group opened.

I think I might make my first I Tunes purchase and get the 4 song COMPANY BAND ep, unless I can find the cd locally (which I'd rather have) I'm having a hard time justifying $8.00 + ridiculas shipping cost from their online merchant for just 4 tunes.

BTW: nothing new today but I still have a lot of new stuff I haven't heard or watched yet

bought some stuff off I-Tunes for the first time ever and loaded it on my Ipod and burned cdrs:
The Company Band - Sign Here and Here
Clutch - Slow Hole To China rare and unreleased (i have this on vinyl but this is a lot easier than recording the album onto my computer, breaking it into tracks and then burning the disc)

cd's:

Porcupine Tree Nil Recurring
Hellhammer Demon Entrails
Wolves In The Throne Room Two Hunters
and lots of Krautrock stuff I ordered last few months: Guru Guru, Cluster, Agitation Free, Amon Duul II, Ash Ra Tempel

vinyls:
lots of and I'm simply too lazy to list 'em all (most interesting item, however, is Hawkwind's 'In Search Of Space' with original gatefold artwork and Hawkwind Log)

Guess Who, music lovas?
It's your buddy Schroeder with 3 more acquisitions (probably spelled that wrong, but i'm a music freak not an engish major)

CIRCA SURVIVE - Juturna
CIRCA SURVIVE - On Letting Go
THE MARS VOLTA - The Bedlam In Gloiath (cd/dvd)... i'm actually enjoying this upon first listen. a lot of their music doesn't have enough hook for me, but this is intersting so far
PORCUPINE TREE - We Lost The Skyline (a must have in store performance by Steven Wilson and John Wesley, on 5 of the 8 tracks, with an awesome set list)

DEATH ANGEL - Killing Season (man, I wish I'd known about that deal with the shirt...I ordered from Amazon cause the End weren't carrying it)

BEHOLD THE ARCTOPUS - SkullGrid
http://www.myspace.com/beholdthearctopus

What I'm about to order from THE END very soon:

KING DIAMOND - Abigail CD with bonus tracks and DVD of 1987 show in Gothenberg

KING DIAMOND - Them/Conspiracy 2 CD set (backordered...my only complaint with the End is that all their good stuff always seems t be out of stock)

Some new acquisitions that I made in the last month or so. Some are used cds that I found at a nice little video/cd store down the street that i didnt even know existed. Hehe.

Mononc' Serge - Pestak (live cd/dvd)

Napalm Death - Utopia Banished 2007 reissue, bundled with "Napalm Death - The DVD" (Live Corruption!!!!!! and tons of other cool shit). I can't believe someone actually got rid of this.

Type O Negative - Bloody Kisses (I bought the digipak in '94, but I only had the regular version of the album on cassette. The digipak is almost a whole different album - a few songs are missing, different tracklist, etc)

The Breeders - Last Splash

cKy - An Answer Can Be Found (it was long overdue)

Men Without Hats - Sideways (out of curiosity... there's a few good songs on there)

EOLB - Inside The Difference Engine, which I love!

Legenda - both Autumnal and Eclipse! Original digipacks, no less! In great shape, too. I wanted them for years!

I think that's it.

Recently...

Hellhammer: Demon Entrails (all 3 versions, of course)

Rainbow: 1st album and Rising (CD remasters)

Pink Floyd - A Saucerful Of Secrets (came across a used copy of the remaster for this and couldn't resist)

Also finally bought the Enslaved DVD "Return To Yggdrasill" which I've had a copy of for some time. Who says illegal downloading doesn't lead to purchase?

Pondering some DBC and Sacred Reich mailorder items too. Need to get me that Ignorance/Surf Nicaragua reissue that's only available from Metal Blade Germany. Seattle Record convention is coming up soon too...

It is maybe the best album they have ever done.
Production quality anyways.

Last song on the album is killer.

Killer? Does anyone say "Killer" anymore or is it just me?

Well, Despite the album peaking at #2 on the Billbored charts (second only to ABBA's 2008 live reunion concert album) I FINALLY broke down and bought a "copy" of 'Chineese Take out' by Guns and Posers.

All I can say about it is that...uh...it is WAYYYY OVERATED!

Seriously, just give me the final Voivod goods, so I can begin my slowly death into a happy man!
