(funny, there are so many hardcore fans of 'Another Perfect Day' around the world... - one of my favorites too
Also the best Motorhead cover artwork ever... BTW, the 'Live 1983' in Sheffield is a pretty good live album from that time)

from their concert:
Today is the Day - In the Eyes of God [featuring Bran Dailor on drums]
track #9 (Argali) sounds like a cover of, or tribute to O.L.D...!!!

Today is the Day - Live Till you Die
(bought it twice, I wanted the new album but the guy gave me two copies of the live album...)

Therion - Lemuria + Sirius B [from a trade for that Today is the Day CD I bought twice]

Alain Bashung - Roulette Russe [1979, first album from the greatest french singer since Serge Gainsbourg; I just realize he writes all the music, but these lyrics were by Bergman, who was also writing for Jacques Dutronc and many others I think... On another album they're from Gainsbourg]
Alain Bashung - Live Tour 85

Fishbone - Live in Amsterdam @ Cannabis Cup [CD + DVD]

Cirith Ungol - Frost and Fire
Cirith Ungol - One Foot In Hell

Hey Schroeder, too bad about Columbia House shutting down, huh? I sorta lucked out and still had 2 more CDs to purchase but they nullified that. On the other hand, I had to make one more final purchase for old-time's sake, and ended up buying one box set and getting 8 more CDs FREE (free meaning $4 each, but still, these are double discs, and the Ozzy set was only $30!) Here's what I got:

Ozzy - Prince Of Darkness (Box set featuring a CD of cover songs. I got this for my gf really)

Zakk Wylde - Book Of Shadows (His only true solo record, I just wanted to check it out)

The Cure - Three Imaginary Boys (Their first album remastered and an extra CD of outtakes and demos)

Fleetwood Mac - The Very Best Of Fleetwood Mac (I don't have any of their CDs, so this is a starting point)

ZZ Top - The Very Best Of ZZ Top: Rancho Texicano (Same as above, a good starting point)

Boz Scaggs - My Time: The Anthology (This guy was in the EARLY Steve Miller Band, nuff said!)

X - Make The Music Go Bang!: The Best Of X (HIGHLY underrated and overlooked punk outfit. This is the band the first 'Decline of Western Civilization' was loosely based upon)

ELO - Strange Magic: The Best of Electric Light Orchestra (This should make 'ol #6 proud )

Meatloaf - Very Best of Meatloaf (Aside from that one lousy hit love song, everything is good)

Nothing METAL this time around...oh well, it'll happen

AGREED, Columbia House had some amazing deals and the prices on box sets were unbeatable, not to mention all the free discs you get after buying one. I'm curious to see how they transfer us to BMG, might be a lucritive switch. BMG didn't have as good a selection and I was running out of stuff to get from CH. BUt hey, if I can buy cds as cheap as I was with CH I'll stay a member.

Nice haul for a final purchase. The Zak Wylde is an interesting listen, and really threw me whe I bought it years ago. Very laid back with a cool vibe, but I couldn't help thinking about Hootie An The Blowfish during some of the songs Tell me what ya think of it.

I pulled out some old ELO vinyl the other day. I used to love that band when I was a wee lad, now it just sounds dated to because of the vocals. TIME and DISCOVERY were fun when I was really young but after all the music I have taken in since then, those records have too much of a Bee Gees Saturday Night Fever thing happening... yuk

Strolled into Vintage Vinyl in Fords NJ. They actually had a Voivod section. They also happened to have a copy of the Metal Blade reissued War and Pain.

Had to get it.
