ENSLAVED-BELOW THE LIGHTSENSLAVED-LIVE RETALIATION Man, I'm loving life now. Just got these two from Amazon. Have to hook up my tv to my stereo before I dive into that Retaliation DVD. Looks like a killer show. Damn, wish I could listen to it in 5.1. Also got a killer bunch of stuff from Senor Gloomp which I've been loving. Including two bands I've never heard of called Mecleschesh and Ludicra. Great music!!!

Here is a list of all of the musicians who have guested on TH albums: http://www.talking-heads.net/members.html I am not a huge fan of their later mainstream stuff (boring), but I have not heard much of 'Fear of Music'. Knowing that he played on this intrigues me. Would a fan of Fripp like this album?

By the way, I am in hog-fucking-heaven tonight. I recieved 3 CDs in the mail all at once:1. Pat Travers - 'Heat in the Street'/ 'Puttin' it Straight' I put a song (Hammerhead) from this up on the Diversions thread. Killer stuff, and autographed, even! 2. Percy Grainger - 'In a Nutshell' This guy was the Zappa of his time. One of my favorite composers. 3. Black Sabbath - 'The Original - Symptom of the Universe 1970-1978' 2-CD set. FUCK! Have any of you seen this thing? The song selection is ACE, the packaging is fucking beautiful, and the enclosed booklet is damn near worth the price alone! All of that, and I also picked up the Napalm Death 'Punishment in Capitals' DVD earlier today. I am STOKED.

Belew played a lot on REMAIN IN LIGHT, and FRIPP just on I ZIMBRA (on FEAR OF MUSIC) both these albums remind me of what Fripp and the boyz created created with King Crimson during the 80's on Discipline, Beat, 3 of a Perfect Pair...but more 'evolved' and focused than what the Heads were doing. Fear Of Music is worth having if only to hear the Frippster and Life During Wartime. So, Tangento, I'll expect to see you post here in a few weeks about aquiring the cd. Shit, with your love of music, I know you'll enjoy it. I didn't like TH once the found their comercial niche, either. BTW Tangento, Do you happen to have the Sabbath 'Complete 70's Replica CD Collection? This is a great limited box set with the first 8 studio albums on remastered cds in mini lp sleeve jackets inside a black box, with a 16 page photo book. I don't know how many were produced, mine is #4538 so maybe 5000 or 10000. Well worth hunting down.

Actually, PT has always done all of his own vocals.
So what's all this about new MSG? I haven't bought a new album from him since 'Assault Attack' or the one after it. He is still one of my top 10 fave guitarists, though. I have been meaning to check out whatever the hell he's been doing for the last 20 years. (other than the awesome UFO reunion show I saw in like '96) BTW, have you seen the new M.O.D. album? It has those 3 letters in a complete and intentional ripoff of the MSG White-on-Black Flying V logo. Pretty fucking funny, but what an off-the-wall reference!

What do I look like to you? Made of money or something? hehe... j/k I would love to own that sucker, but this one will have to do for now. All I can tell you is that the booklet I have has at least twice that many pages, and is VERY impressive. As for the TH, I will give it a whirl and report back. Thanks for all the info, Schroeder.
