FUCK DOWNLOADS!!!!

I must say I specially love AC/DC boxes, they're the best! I'm drooling at the mere thought of that new "Backtracks" box, which is also a guitar amp. Sweet!

Now, who of you has KISS - Sonic Boom.

I Do.....

I bought it out of curiousity but I like it! It has 2 cd's (also the rerecordings) and a DVD, live in Buenos Aires, that crowd is pretty heavy!!

Another local store is going out of buisness so there were deals a plenty and I bought myself a few "gifts"... tis the season:
Puscifer - V is for Vagina (I never really wanted this disc because i thought the stupid sexual lyrics are... well, stupid; but, Maynard singing and only $2.50 I had to buy it)

Chickenfoot - Chickenfoot (for $5... why not?)

Trouble - Simple mind Condition (now I won't feel bad for having a cdr copy for the last couple years)
Trouble - Unplugged (i've had the original release of this for years but this version has a few more songs on it, so I had to get it)

***side note: Trouble is just not the same anymore with Eric gone from behind the mic. the new guy who is original the singer from Warrior Soul just doesn't do it for me; thus, I couldn't bring myself to buy the Live In L.A. cd

Holocaust - Live from the Raw Loud 'n' Live Tour DVD (marked $0.99 and 30% off that making it only 69 cents!!!! like I'm going to pass that up)

Angel Rat,
I CARE!!!
I don't want to be the only one posting on this thread. Besides if you post what you buy I won't feel like I'm the only addict.

I'll have to check out that new Katatonia cd. I wasn't thrilled with The Great Cold Distance even though I heard lots of praises for it. I enjoy Viva Emptiness however.

SUICIDAL TENDENCIES - Prime Cuts(Best Of)

Pretty lame packaging and imo doesn't represent their best songs....but it was 8 bucks at BB so I couldn't resist.

You ain't the only addict, Schroeder! Only my addiction went out of hand to such an extent it would take simply too much time to list it all...

Nah, I'm just lazy.

Mastodon - Crack The Skye (new limited edition version with 2nd disc that contains "the score" instrumentals of the album, housed inside a beautiful gold printed book style package with new artwork, art card, and sticker sheet. not as cool as the "worm hole" package edition, but cool non the less)

Thrice - Beggars (limited edition purple marble vinyl with autographed booklet of lyrics and liner notes. only 2000 made, already sold out. glad i scored one)

merry xmas to me

I had points from my Fnac credit card, so I used them to order some stuff (which will arrive later this week):

METALLICA - Orgullo, Pasión Y Gloria

Let's see, their home videos are almost always cool.

THE BEATLES - Magical Mystery Tour

Remaster!

I just ordered that Metallica 2dvd /2cd set also. I want the one they shot in France but it's no longer on the Metallica.com store site. I had to buy the Mexico set off an Ebay dealer (got a better price than the metallica store was selling it for; but also, they only had the single dvd in stock)

Made my last trip to the local record store before it closes it's doors for good at the end of the month. 40% off all new cds so I picked up:
Living Colour - The Chair In The Doorway (thanks for the recommendations from VVF members)

Crack The Sky - Safety In Numbers (21st century redux)
Crack The Sky - The Best Of The Rest and then some

Trouble - Live In Los Angeles (not sure if I'm going to like Kory's vocales with this band but figured I have everything else by Trouble, so I should have this)

The Mars Volta - Octahedron (i have to be in the right mood to listen to this band, and it doesn't happen often, but figured I'd take the chance since the price was right)

60% off used cds:
Vanderhoof - A Blur In Time (main writer from Metal Church, a bit more commercial than MC but theres some good stuff between the cheese, besides I only paid about $1.60)

Metallica - "Orgullo, Pasion, Y Gloria" (live in Mexico 2dvd / 2cd version)
This dvd totally kicks ass. The new material sounds amazing live and the band sounds and performs better than I've ever seen. A MUST HAVE!!!
Killer set lists, great behind the scenes clips of band and fans(be sure you have your subtitles on if you don't understand Spanish), DTS surround sound is SMOKIN', video is superb, and I honestly don't think there are better fans in the world than in South America!!!

Megadeth - Endgame

Best one for me since Peace Sells, definatly. But I could do without that fucking awful ballad. jesus wept!

Devin Townsend - Addiction

Loved Ki, but this sounds like Synchestra with less melody. But of course Devin albums need multiple spins to get into them!

Porcupine Tree - The Incident

Actually I got two copies as one is for my Dad's 60th next week. Not heard it yet - I need some time and space to devote to it properly. Not repeating the mistake I made with 'Fear of a Blank Planet' by doing something else while listening to it for the first time! I bloody hated it for some reason, cant think why as its like Dream Theatre without the cheese/shitbits.

METALLICA - Orgullo, Pasión Y Gloria (really good, Thanks for the recommendation)

Agnostic Front - Victim in Pain / United Blood Re release - I have the original vinyl, however this was a must buy.

Judas Priest - Screaming for Vengence - on sale for 7.99! How do you say no to that?

EM, it took me several spins of The Incident before I started to enjoy it and have it click, but now... IT'S FUCKIN' AMAZING. Usually PT albums blow me away from the first spin, but not this one... that said, it's probably one of my favs now. Give it time and make sure you're listening.

Tom Sawyer... how could you not already have Screaming For Vengeance? Maybe you're a lot younger than me!?! A must have for any metal head in the 80's.

Devin Townsend Project-Addicted

A friend of mine turned me on to Ocean Machine, and holy fuck is this ever my most favourite thing right now. Tried Addicted, but it doesn't even come close to Biomech. Anyone else want to **** Devin Townsend?

METALLICA - DVD Live in Nimes France 2009 (if this even comes close to being as great as the live in Mexico City dvd it'll be devastating)

THRICE - The Artist In The Ambulance (fully autographed die cut digipack with song cards... the only time I've seen this on Ebay, with the autographed, it sold for over $100... I got this one for $30... THRILLED)

The Beatles - Stereo Box Set

I've never been a huge fan but I appreciate them, and this set just sounds downright excellent! Got it for my girlfriend...

...And at least 200 other things last year, just didn't have time to list them. I'm straightening up my office and "jam room", maybe I'll compile a best-of list for my own stuff hahaha. Dave and Hex, you aren't alone!!!

You summed up the same way I feel about the Beatles. I have most of their catalog on cd before they remastered them and also the Love disc in 5.1 which is probably one of the best surround mixes ever.

Recently received:
Thrice - Beggars (clear vinyl, red, vinyl, white vinyl, mustard vinyl) which brings my collection of colored wax for this album to 6 different versions.

Thrice "under a killing moon"/Thursday "for the workforce, drowning" split 7 inch on clear vinyl
