Hey HEX,
What do ya think of the Mordred cd THE NEXT ROOM?
I bought it years ago when it came out and was freaked out when I saw Holderby wasn't singing, but was blown away within the first 10 seconds of the first song. INFUCKINCREDIBLE!!!

I MISS MORDRED

Two:

SYSTEM OF A DOWN - Steal This Album (good album, but not excelent as Toxicity);
OASIS - Be Here Now (if it were not for them claiming to be the new Beatles... Great album anyway).

Haha, Death Slam is great, neutrino!

Well, then, I'm doubly impressed. I would have guessed different vocalists on each song. I love it when a singer can do different styles. Are those going to be available in the US?

yeah, ask a stupid question, eh? I kinda figured that about half a second after I posted...OZON, huh? Hadn't found that one. Luckily I can read Russian (though it's been a few years and I do have to refer to the old dictionary frequently). Thanks for the tip!

BTW, I found their website, or the fan club site at least, and they have quite a few mp3's, plus lyrics! Should anybody else be interested, here's the link Black Obelisk - it's all in Russian, but playing/downloading mp3's works the same in any language. (incidentally - some files seem to be corrupt, the downloads cut off early. It's a little hit or miss. Or it may be my crappy modem...)

Just got back from Circuit City with:
RUSH - IN RIO dvd and will be checking this out very soon. I have nothing but great things about it and I'm going to blast the hell out of my surround sound!!!

DREAM THEATER - Train of Thought ...incredible cd!!! This is the best thing they have done in many many years, maybe their best ever. Someone gave LaBrie a big set of 'balls'... he finally has some agression in his voice!!! Very heavy and killer production. It's been a while since a DT album knocked me out on the first listen... this fucker smokes!!!

December 2nd was my birthday, and I got the following treats, in line with my latest obsession:

Cryptopsy - None So Vile
Cryptopsy - Whisper Supremacy
Cryptopsy - And Then You'll Beg

Know that feeling when you've just discovered a band for yourself, even though a lot of people have been talking about them, then you become utterly, hopelessly obsessed with everything they've ever done? Let's just say Blasphemy Made Flesh will be coming in time for Xmas.

Today I went to a Wherehouse music store that's closing soon and is having a massive clearance sale. Pickings were pretty slim, but I found the following:

Motorhead - Overnight Sensation
Hammerfall - Renegade
Khanate - s/t
Kula Shaker - Summer Sun EP
Cro-Mags - Near Death Experience
Die Krupps - Metalmorphosis 81-92
Stuck Mojo - Pigwalk
Souls At Zero - s/t
Fu Manchu - Action is Go
Fates Warning - Inside Out
Dream Theater - Once in a Livetime (double)
My Dying Bride - 34.7888% Complete
Godflesh - Selfless/Merciless (double)

I've never listened to any of these bands except Fu Manchu and Motorhead, but they were so cheap I figured it's worth the risk of not liking even half of 'em. I just finished listening to Souls At Zero, since you guys have been talking about them and it's INCREDIBLE. Definitely a steal there - that one cost me 40 CENTS. Plus tax. Altogether I spent just over $25.

DREAM THEATER - Train Of Thought

I was gonna state something about it, but schroeder said everything, so I will just second him. Killer album, highly recomended.

KRISIUN - Works Of Carnage

They're improving with every album. For blastbeat freaks only!
