CORROSION OF CONFORMITY - CORROSION OF CONFORMITY (double 12" colored vinyl edition European version)CORROSION OF CONFORMITY - CORROSION OF CONFORMITY (single 12" vinyl with 7" edition USA version) CORROSION OF CONFORMITY - CORROSION OF CONFORMITY (digipack cd edition with 2 bonus tracks) CORROSION OF CONFORMITY - CORROSION OF CONFORMITY (regular jewel case edition) *I didn't order this one but they sent it to me anyway listening to the digipack cd now... pretty fuckin heavy and cool. Sounds nothing like the early hardcore stuff and sounds nothing like the Pepper groove stoner rock or Blind... just sounds HEAVY and COOL!!!!Me likes it, and I find myself thrashing and banging in my computer chair. -------------------- yawn

Some good Destruction finds there John!Getting settled in after today's Seattle Record show. Not too many bargains today, but some pretty great finds nonetheless. Blew through my cash in record time... Vinyl finds... - Corrosion Of Conformity: Six Songs With Mike Singing 1985 - The Plugz: Better Luck - Warpig: Warpig [vinyl reissue of this 1970 heavy rock classic] Compact Disc finds... - Agitation Free: Last - Agitation Free: Live '74 (At The Cliffs Of River Rhine) - Comus: First Utterance - Deathrow: Satan's Gift [reissue] - Enslaved: Yggdrasill [new CD reissue of their demo from 1992, on Peaceville Records] - Eskaton: Fiction - Led Zeppelin: Immigrant Song/Hey Hey What Can I Do? [funny replica of the original 7-inch single on CD... pretty cool for $3] Always had this COC release on CD, but hadn't seen it on vinyl in ages... got it thrown in at a discount while I was bargaining with the guy for that PLUGZ record, which is extremely rare and cost me a few bucks today. -------------------- I am a robot... bleep blop bloop

Very nice Lee. Next step is to record at least 60-80 minutes of that thing running... mix it with some pigs squealing, and you will have yourself a Merzbow album. Not that I am implying you have pigs around your house, haha. Made the deluxe CD edition of the new CORROSION OF CONFORMITY a part of my permanant archives today! Also came accross these fine used CDs in my way to the register.... - Destruction: Cracked Brain - Dio: Holy Diver Can't believe I never owned Holy Diver on CD before this... just my old vinyl copy, haha. -------------------- I am a robot... bleep blop bloop

a couple more Books in the mail today: Judas Priest "Metal Gods" (this looks like one of those books you buy in elementary school. Only 84 pages of big text with pictures... there's obviously not going to be a lot of good behind the scenes info in here. Kind of cheap looking, but I didn't pay much, so... whatever)PAUL Di'ANNO - "The Beast: Singing with iron Maiden - The drugs, The Groupies, The Whole Story" (this should be one good convoluted story from Paul's point of view. I had to get this just for curiosity sake) VINYL: CLUTCH - Blast Tyrant (double vinyl gatefold with posters... cool) -------------------- yawn

I think the new COC album is amazing, but I could see that it may take some time to sink in. One of those albums that you may or may not connect with right away, but don't dismiss it too soon... keep it around and let it grow on you, because there's a lot of cool shit going on with this record.Reed's amazing drumming alone is worth the purchase price, haha! I like the first few QOTSA records... pretty much up through Songs For The Deaf, but after that, they became instantly boring to me as well. Not common for me to lose interest in band so quickly, now that I think about it. -------------------- I am a robot... bleep blop bloop

That's awesome Dave! I need to check out that book! Love Derek Riggs' work!Took these home today... - German Oak: s/t album (1972) [reissue] - Andreas Kisser: Hubris I & II The Andreas Kisser album is pretty cool. First disc is mostly electric and the second is mostly acoustic. I've always been a bit fan of those haunting little interludes he used to contribute to Sepultura albums, and in that regard it does not disappoint. Reviews on the web haven't been very kind to this one, but it's really quite nice for what it is. -------------------- I am a robot... bleep blop bloop
