Not having enough money to buy the stereo box right now (a recently married man can't afford a box which costs a thousand bucks here, aprox. 700 US dollars!!!), I'm content on buying the Beatles remasters album per album. This time it was the Yellow Submarine soundtrack and Abbey Road. I love the Beatles remasters. -------------------- "Forty-five moments of perfection translated through a cautionary escape into the perils of the mundane, the inherent entropy in ultimate order, and the potential threats of eternal, unchecked apathy in civilization; all cloaked in musical expression so thoughtful, creative and forward thinking that almost a quarter-century later, few can even comprehend it, much less match it." Hey, congratulations on your marriage! And holy crap but that's an expensive box set - does it come with a lock of John Lennon's hair or some other holy artifact? Or is it just part of the price you pay for living in Brazil (along with bitching about the cold whenever it hits 18C)? Ehm...on topic....I haven't bought a damn thing in nearly 2 years. Thank dog for Spotify or else I'd never listen to anything new. I will be getting the new Finntroll when it comes out in a few weeks though. Probably. -------------------- ummm.....I got nothin' today :-(

These actually exist?? I would love something like this! And I don't even own a record player. One of the many disadvantages about living in bumfuck.

A great read, lots of nice stories. He didn't waste much time on his childhood years and went straight to what everyone wants to know: Rock'n'Roll! -------------------- "Forty-five moments of perfection translated through a cautionary escape into the perils of the mundane, the inherent entropy in ultimate order, and the potential threats of eternal, unchecked apathy in civilization; all cloaked in musical expression so thoughtful, creative and forward thinking that almost a quarter-century later, few can even comprehend it, much less match it." Shopping day!- AC/DC - Backtracks The regular version. Rocks, as always. - METALLICA - Orgulho, Paixăo e Glória The title for the Brazillian version is in portuguese. It's the 2 DVD + 2 CD version. Kicks major ass. - METALLICA - A Year and a Half in the Life of... The DVD version, to replace my old VHS. Plus: - "I Am Ozzy", the Madman's autobiography. Looks promising, it's my next read after I finish Dan Brown's "The Lost Symbol". Which is highly entertaining, btw. -------------------- "Forty-five moments of perfection translated through a cautionary escape into the perils of the mundane, the inherent entropy in ultimate order, and the potential threats of eternal, unchecked apathy in civilization; all cloaked in musical expression so thoughtful, creative and forward thinking that almost a quarter-century later, few can even comprehend it, much less match it." I love the Metallica Mexico dvd set. I started watching disc 1 again while I run on the tread mill. Disc 1 is a lot better than disc 2 which seems to be more jumbled up and doesn't flow as well. The dvd they filmed in Paris is cool because of the arena they are in but the Mexico City show blows it away.I've got the Ozzy bio on order along with the new Dave Mustaine bio which I'm really looking forward to reading. I've been looking at the new Dan Brown book but haven't picked it up yet... guess I will now, after reading your thumbs up review. I liked his previous books (better than the movies). I just finished Whit Line Fever, Lemmy autobio, and it was very enjoyable and fun to read. I started RUSH: Rock Music and the Middle Class - Dreaming in Middletown and it seems like it's going to be written like it's someones college thesis which will probably mean it's going to bore me to death, so I might not make it through the book... especially if something better comes along or I decide to read the Howard Stern bio my brother gave me years ago. Let me know how that Ozzy book is. I've read a bunch of Black Sabbath books that were very cool but an in depth Ozzy bio should be really interesting. -------------------- yawn
