Yes, Living, I agree.... the only time I would listen to Dido would be if she was SITTING ON MY FACE.(that was too easy-does she really have an album named this??)

That sounds like good news. Although, I've never even listened to Vader. Time to find some Vader. (I haven't purchased any new music in a good long time now).

Ordered Today thru Trouble's Official site:
Live 1983 - $11.99
Dallas March 12 1990 - $11.99
5 Song DVD - $16.95
shipping however was a ridiculas $12.95!!!, but I still bought them. I'm awaiting for the unplugged cd to be released plus a new cd next year that they are in the studio making, and a live dvd later this year!!!

Ordered from Columbia House buy 1 get 3 free:
Judas Priest: Turb(l)o, Defenders Of The Faith, Ram It Down
Testament - Best Of

I needed the JP remasters for the box set I have, just 3 more to get after these to fill it up, and I wasn't about to pay full price for Turbo & Ram It Down, so this was a great deal.

NO MEZ, DIDO doesn't have a cd out by THAT title. Life For Rent & No Angel are her 2 releases, if you care. I like her, to mellow out to, and also, I wouldn't say NO if she wanted a place to sit!!! Great voice jazzy tunes very cool... obviously I'll be the only one here with that opinion... so be it.

Schrodbaby, I feared you had problems with your fascination with that first UK album. Now the Dido confession. Sir, this is not just a problem, this is a cry for help.

LOL @ Mez!

LUNA!...Ya gotta get some Vader asap.
The above 2 CD's i mentioned are a good place to start.
There is a killer version of the Judas Priest song 'Rapid Fire' on there.
('Reigh forever World' CD that is.)
My fav track is 'Privilege of the Gods' off that same CD.

I hear talk about how Flo is such a fast drummer & all that, but my money is on Doc of Vader.
Fastest & most precise drummer i have ever heard.
Some of the tricks he does just blows me away.

Well worth your money, Luna.

OSI - Office Of Strategic Influence
WHY didn't I have bought this earlier? It's beyond greatness! Luckily I did find the limited edition with bonus disc.
Neurosis - The Eye Of Every Storm
Amazing. Post-apocalyptic soundscapes to your darkest nightmares. Hauntingly beautiful.
King Crimson - Islands (30th Anniversary Edition)
After the vinyl and the original finally a good sounding version of this album. Gone are the flat sound and the background noises. Now I can hear this highly underrated album the way it was intended to be.

OSI is fucking brilliant...if you enjoy track 7 SHUTDOWN, you should look into PORCUPINE TREE, since it's Steve Wilson doing the vocals on that OSI track, and has the same feel as his PT material from IN ABSENTIA, STUPID DREAM, and LIGHTBULB SUN.

All the 30th Anniversary KC discs are huge improvements on the sound quality, especially Islands and Lizard, which I can now enjoy a lot, since you are able to hear EVERYTHING!!!

Yesterday I went to São Paulo, to the "Galeria do Rock" (what can possibly be described as a metal mall, lots of metal stores in three floors), and came home with some goodies:

JUDAS PRIEST - Point of Entry remastered

Cool, now my Priest CD official discography is finally complete.

CANNIBAL CORPSE - The Wretched Spawn

Apart from being a superb album, it also comes with a cool extra-DVD, "The Making of The Wretched Spawn".

BATHORY - Blood Fire Death

From the put-old-vinyl-to-rest series.

MAYHEM - Chimera

The icing on the cake, really. If you like expertly played metal and did not buy this yet, go get it!

--------------------

"Forty-five moments of perfection translated through a cautionary escape into the perils of the mundane, the inherent entropy in ultimate order, and the potential threats of eternal, unchecked apathy in civilization; all cloaked in musical expression so thoughtful, creative and forward thinking that almost a quarter-century later, few can even comprehend it, much less match it." That's absolutely right. It's amazing and frighten to see them play their instruments. Showed that to Non-Metal-Heads. They were so totally fascinated about the skills of musicians, that - for the first time - they respected DEATH METAL.

Great album! I saw 'em playing live a few months ago on a rare occasion (I think even Voivod tours Europe more often than Penance) and they kicked ass.

Today's sweet haul...

Corrosion Of Conformity - Animosity

Scorpions - Lovedrive

Metal Church - Blessing In Disguise - now I can put my well worn tape to rest. Fantastic album.

Entombed - Wolverine Blues The one with the comic book in it. Unfortunately, the best track on the album (Out Of Hand) is not on this version.

SFH - One Of These Days I can't fucking believe I found this! This is Bob Reid from Razor's first band, which he put on hold once he joined Razor. He got some time after Open Hostility and demoed this album. Razor came through town and I got to interview them. Bob said he'd be back with SFH in a month or so and that we should hook up. At that show he gave me the demo tape of One Of These days. Great Motorhead style party metal. I never could find the damn thing on CD back when it came out. Then today...there it was! Used for $8.00!!!

CLUTCH - Transnational Speedway League
yes I have seen the video for Mob Goes Wild... very cool!!!

I enjoyed the Dead Soul Tribe upon first listen, but that was while driving to and from work. I didn't really get a chance to absorb it all in, and follow the lyrics, which I think helps with albums like this.

Hello Cubeman!

Was wondering if all the tracks on that Beastie album are as good as the tune they have out on the radio. I love a lot of their stuff except when they try to pick up instruments and do these "funk" jams that go nowhere.
