Great cache of Canadian thrash there Heino! Love love love the Sacrifice!

Going to the Seattle record show this weekend and looking forward to picking up some vinyl. In the meantime, took home these for just a few $ each.

- Miles Davis: In A Silent Way
- Van Halen: Van Halen II [remaster]
- Van Halen: Diver Down [remaster]
- Van Halen: A Different Kind Of Truth

Still need to pick up Fair Warning & 1984 on CD (already have on vinyl). Don't plan of bothering with the Van Hagar era.

Never had the older stuff of Sacrifice in it's original, so this was the best way. All CDs come with lots of Demo- & Live-Recordings.

Got the Live: Right here, right now from the Hagar era, no need for more.
And have a low-priced 6 CD-Box with all that good VH-Stuff from '78 - '84. Fair Warning is still my fave...

I have the entire Van Halen catalog, both Roth & Hagar, and enjoy them all. Fair Warning's will always be my all time fav VH album. I even picked up that box set of the Roth era releases even though I had them all from the original releases (I'm a sucker for those sets). I even have the Van Cherone release to complete the catalog, but that album is as much a piece of shit as the Blaze era Maiden releases. One day I will throw them all away, but the collector in me wants to keep them for some stupid reason.

That Anathema dvd of "Universal" is absolutely
B E A U T I F U L

Today:
Steven Wilson - Cover Version (double vinyl) because owning the: 6 separate 7 inches in 3 different versions (small center hole, large center hole, white label promos) and the 6 cd singles of each pairing of songs, is just not enough. At least now when I want to listen to these songs on vinyl I can hear 3 songs at a time before having to flip or switch records. LOL

Scrounged up these CDs yesterday, while on a "lunch" break, haha.

- Midday Veil: The Current
- Om: Variations On A Theme
- Om: Conference Of The Birds
- Om: God Is Good
- Swans: Children Of God | World Of Skin
- Swans: Various Failures [1st press]
- Tangerine Dream: Zeit

While I've been familiar with Om since the beginning, something recently clicked for me with their music. Loving it.

This Midday Veil record is pretty awesome too. Didn't realize they were a Seattle band, haha.

Devil Childe - Devil Childe

Stumbled upon this when I was looking at all the bands Joe Hasselvander had been in. He sings and plays drums, and Jack Starr is the guitarist. NY heavy/speed metal done as a parody/joke band, really cheap production. Recorded Halloween night, 1984 for $200.

Going to the show? Seems like that'd be pretty cool! I miss seeing shows in ABQ... generally more intimate than Seattle gigs for a lot of bands. Loving these Om discs!

Brought in a number of CDs this week.

- Blood Ceremony: s/t album
- Blood Ceremony: Living With The Ancients
- Blood Ceremony: The Eldritch Dark
- Cynic: Kindly Bent To Free Us
- Hawkwind: Knights Of Space (Live At The Astoria)
- Ozzy Osbourne: Blizzard Of Ozz [1995 remaster]
- Ozzy Osbourne: Diary Of A Madman [1995 remaster]
- Ozzy Osbourne: Bark At The Moon [1995 remaster]
- Witherscape: The Inheritance [Dan Swanö's latest!]

Apparently I'm in the mood for a lot of flute metal, Ozzy, & prog, haha.

Got an email that my preorder of the new Tyiptykon 7-inch has shipped, so extra stoked for that to arrive!

Wow...Om in concert...how do you manage to stay awake?

What do you think of the new Cynic XD? I've heard three tracks so far....each of them quite boring.

Sorry I'm kind of negative tonight. I'm a bit uptight due to the fact that my speakers are all shot in my car and so I've not been able to listen to much music at all in the past couple of weeks. Hope to rectify this soon....but damn, taking forever. UGH.
