My intention was not to buy only 70s German prog rock, but that is what happened.

Found these used discs at a shop while out for lunch.

- Eloy: Live [remaster]
- Eloy: Planets [remaster]
- Embryo: Rocksession [remaster]

Also bought a copy of Deep Purple's Fireball (25th Anniversary Edition) for a friend needed it... or rather, that is my feeling on the matter.

EDIT - Bought these on the way home... continuing the German music theme for today, it seems.

- Mekong Delta: Intersections
- Sodom: Tapping The Vein
- Sodom: Masquerade In Blood

A nice little box from the Original Album Classics series, this time from Suicidal Tendencies. It contains:

How Will I Laugh Tomorrow
Controlled By Hatred
Lights Camera Revolution
The Art Of Rebellion
Still Cyco After All These Years

Sweet!!!

--------------------

"Forty-five moments of perfection translated through a cautionary escape into the perils of the mundane, the inherent entropy in ultimate order, and the potential threats of eternal, unchecked apathy in civilization; all cloaked in musical expression so thoughtful, creative and forward thinking that almost a quarter-century later, few can even comprehend it, much less match it." NiiiiiCE! I'm surprised at how good it is. I'm just assuming the title is some kinda hardcore drug reference lol.

I recently got Autopsy's 20th anniversary 'Mental Funeral' with a DVD of 2 early shows.

Rad article! I actually went to the first Vitus show here back in '10 I guess, didn't catch the openers but I guess it was Stone Axe, seen Chandler wearing their shirt in a few pics here and there. I might be very ignorant but I don't really know who Tony Reed is, until I read this The album smokes, too bad it's only 33 minutes long!

'After' was amazing indeed. With this new one Ihsahn moves even further away from his past. A dark, moody, yet very proggy album. It took more time to sink in than 'After' did, but now I like this one more.

Haha, I was just wondering to my wife what Clutch was up to these days and checked their site like two days after this got released. Great band!

Found some cool shit in the used bins today.

- Blue Oyster Cult: Secret Treaties [expanded remaster]
- Grand Magus: Hammer Of The North [w/DVD]
- The Jimi Hendrix Experience: Are You Experienced? [2010 reissue w/DVD]
- The Jimi Hendrix Experience: Electric Ladyland [2010 reissue w/DVD]
- Unida: Coping With The Urban Coyote

The Unida disc was a solid find... great album, and way out of print!

Mike, if I asked my wife what was up with Clutch these days her response would be, "WTF is wrong with the car?"

My latest & greatest:

Skid Row-Slave to the Grind (been looking for this one for a long time, not as good as their masterpiece debut but still pretty good)

Ozzy-Blizzard of Ozz(the one he re-did the drums & bass- damn, one of the worst albums sound-wise I've ever heard....extremely flat production...or reproduction whatever)

Ozzy- No More Tears (basically just for the title song which I've always loved)

The Who - Live at Leeds (Mind blowing! Absolutely the best rock show ever caught on tape!)

Van Halen II...........amazing!

Slave to the Grind is WAY better than their debut simply because it doesn't have that "18 & Life" song on it... and it just kicks ass. Subhuman Race is also worth getting.

Of course you're wrong Dave.....but you already know that. Confession time sir. 18 & Life rules and you know it! He showed his pipes in all their glory on that song...nothing else to compare....everything that came after that was just filler.

2nd & Charles Haul yet again:

Pestilence-Testimony of the Ancients
Pestilence-Spheres (I shit you not, not one but two Pestilence albums found in Augustafucking Georgia.....how rare is that???)
Alice in Chains-S/T
Led Zepplin-BBC Sessions
Pantera-Vulgar Display of Power(holy hell this album rocks hard....if you're gonna get any Pantera album...this is the one!)

Just to prove Mez wrong, after reading his post on Skid Row I went to Amazon and ordered the newer albums (which sounded pretty damn good & heavy even with a different singer)... but still refuse to order that debut piece of shit album

Skid Row - Thickskin
Carney - Mr Green volume 1 (a new friend turned me on to this band. they have a good retro Led Zep vibe with a modern feel... even though that makes no sense at all)
Carney - Nothing Without You (4 track cd)
Music From Spider-Man Turn Off The Dark (from the broadway show. the lead singer from Carney is the lead role and the band plays with the orchestra. When I get into a new band I just dive in and buy everything... sometimes I get burned, hopefully not this time)
