Yes I am, and indeed I've got the best wife in the world!

COC - Playlist: The Very Best Of (i was surprised that the track list had 3 rare tracks that I didn't already have, i always usually ignore these cheap compilations but I'm glad I looked closer at this one)

OZZY - Black Rain (i have no idea why it took me this long to buy this one. i really like what i played so far. very much like the newest album, which is damn good also. The Ozz can still belt out the tunes, he sounds remarkably good for a dud his age who's been through so much)

Schro I agree, the new Ozzy is a dud.

You know, seriously, I think you should check out the new album by Enslaved. I think you would really like it. Its very Opethian in spirit...yet still very much an Enslaved album. IMO its their peak...each song, epic mindblowing....just couldn't believe how good it was. SO SO much better than Ruun which I though was really subpar for this band. But I guess they had to write that to get to this one.

DeAdsouL TribE - A Lullaby for the Devil

I recieved their "The Dead Word" cd yesterday, only to realize when I went to put it away I already had it... DUMBASS. Luckily it was used and not expensive.

Lee, I've been listening to the new Enslaved more this week and it's really starting to open up for me. They seemed to have mixed a lot of past references to their own sound and it keeps growing and growing on me.
I'm sure the first few listens didn't get my full attention w/ a divorce in the works and whatnot.

Kylesa
Atheist
Agalloch

This is an awesome time for metal.

'Love me like a Reptile' rocks so hard....I'm really looking forward to this movie on him coming out...

Doors - LA Woman
I was surprised by how good this album was. Great booklet included on the recording process.

Ace Of Spades is such a great record all the way through. One of the few that is so often name dropped and yet deserves all the credit given to it. An essential part of any metalhead's collection.

Picked up a few noteable items recently...
- Triptykon: Shatter EP
- Melechesh: The Epigenesis
- Sodom: The Final Sign Of Evil
- Mahavishnu Orchestra: Between Nothingness & Eternity (live album)

Also...
Corrosion Of Conformity: Your Tomorrow [7-inch EP]

As Mez states, 2010 is a good year for metal and these Triptykon and Melechesh releases are definitly an integral part of that for me... both are amazing.

The new Corrosion Of Conformity is suprisingly... not so good. Had to have it, but not sure what the heck is going on here. COC with Mike Dean on vocals means a lot to me, so hard admit not to liking that one so much.

King Crimson - Collectors Club #43 Live in Chicago November 29 1995(2cd) double trio line up GOD-LIKE!!!!

King Crimson - Collectors Club Volume 5 Live in Japan (2cd) this is the audio of the Deja Vrooom dvd with a couple extra tracks.

The Big 4 - dvd/cd limited box set
The Big 4 - BluRay edition (why the hell didn't they make a bluray/cd limited box set so I wouldn't have had to buy both of these to get what I wanted?

X-D, I've been looking at that new COC 7inch but just haven't ordered it because I couldn't decide if it was something I'd listen to more than once... although the collector in me says "BUY IT DAVE, YOU KNOW YOU WANT IT, IT'S C.O.C. FOR SHIT SAKE"

Nice one man.

Picked these up yesterday... Have to say I am pretty blown away by the new Atheist. Didn't have high expectations to be honest, but it's really nuts.

- Atheist: Jupiter
- Drudkh: Handful Of Stars
- Pig: Genuine American Monster

Ah, hit another record show yesterday, but it was mostly a bust. Did get a couple of LPs and hit a shop for some CDs on my way home, as follows.

LPs
- Jane: Sign No. 9
- Atomic Rooster: Atomic Rooster '80 ~weird LP from 1980 with John Du Cann and Vincent Crane. Haven't listened to it yet, but couldn't pass it up.

CDs
- Agalloch: Marrow Of The Spirit [this is fucking great!]
- Acid Mother Temple & The Melting Pariaso UFO: Electric Heavyland
- Carcass: Necrotism - Descanting The Insalubrious
- Carcass: Wake Up And Smell... w/bonus DVD

Put the Agalloch on for the drive this morning, frought with a snowy downpour and what an awesome into to a great, great record!

Picked up some cheap used copies of the following over this long, much-needed weekend:

Queensryche's Empire and Operation Mindcrime
The Cars, best of and self-titled
Deftones b-sides and rarities

Nothing new as of yet though think I'll take a look-see online today if I find the time. I'm thinking more Hevy Devy.

Terrific. One of the greatest crossover bands ever, hands down.

Fates Warning - Disconnected/InsideOut (double cd with bonus tracks, the coolest of which are the cover of "Under the Milky Way" a demo titled "Someone/Everthing" which became "One" for Ray Adler's side project Engine, and a demo titled "It's Over" which became "shutDown" on the first OSI album and the song that was sung by Steven Wilson of Porcupine Tree) great addition to my collection
