Now Mal, why the heck did you need to go to Italy to record this thing? Is it not good enough in Metal Town of Jonky?

Pasta restaurants.

(and didn't Mike Patton had a project called Maldoror too?)

Italian pizza sucks, actually.

Opeth - Watershed special edition. I'm so addicted to these little documentaries they keep doing. This is the third one, and they're all interesting!

also got Amorphis - Eclipse. I know, I'm a few years behind the times. As always.
Album still rules, even a few years late, though I think I like Silent Waters better.

ummm.....I got nothin' today :-(

Glad ya got it Hex. ENJOY IT LOUD!!!!

My girlfriend's daughter has gotten hooked Guitar Hero 3 and is pretty damn good. She loves playing to the DragonForce - song (which really surprised me, not to mention watching her play Regn In Blood the other day when I came in.
Anyway I picked up
DragonForce - Inhuman Rampage
to play when we're in the car together going to work.
These guys remind me of Helloween on speed.

I tried listening to 'Nostrodamus'....what an endurance test! I made it until the seventh song....and then couldn't take it anymore.

Just ordered two albums from Amazon:

NACHTMYSTIUM - 'Assassins'

Only heard one song but was amazed by their creativity: www.myspace.com/nachtmystium

BECK - 'Modern Guilt'

I buy everything this guy puts out. Essential listening.

HAIL OF BULLETS.....is next on the list

Lately...

Children Of Bodom - Blooddrunk CD/DVD
Arsis - We Are The Nightmare
Coldworker - The Contaminated Void
Opeth - Watershed (Ltd Edition with DVD and autographed insert)
Judas Priest - Nostradamus
Emperor - IX Eqilibrium
Nightwish - Wishmaster
Nightwish - Oceanborn
Nightwish - Angels Fall First
Finntroll - Ur Jordens Djup (Ltd. Ed. Digi+DVD)
Arch Enemy - Rise Of The Tyrant (Import Slipcase CD/DVD)
Warrel Dane - Praises To The War Machine (Ltd. Ed. Digi Book)
In Flames - A Sense Of Purpose

Completing my Nightwish discography at $6.00 per CD! Same with the Finntroll and Arch Enemy. Couldn't pass that up. I already have the CD of the Finntroll, but now I gots me the DVD too.

The fucking In Flames CD is soooo crappy. I snagged it coz it was only 10 bucks, but man, I feel ripped off. They really went emo on this. I had read some positive reviews, and the songs sounded good live back in May, but man, this thing is a stinker. That's what I get for giving them a chance and not downloading it first. I get fisted in the ass by Jesper and his crappy band. Not even worth rating.

The Warrel Dane album makes up for it though. I d/l'ed it and fucking loved it and had to get it. It's kinda like Nevermore, but not as techincal. Fucking great songs. Very powerful. 10/10 album for sure.

Love the Opeth. Can't play it enough. The Priest has really grown on me. Digging it nowadays.

King Crimson - 40th Anniversary Tour Box (cd of 11 unreleased tracks spanning their career and a booklet housed in a dvd case) That was all I purchased at the merch table at the show. I resisted temptation on the shirts and the couple side project cds I didn't already have. Levin's new book of KC photos was also very temping along with the cool Discipline baseball cap. I even walked away from buying the 17 remastered KC cds housed in the mini lp covers for only $400.00.

I'm damn proud of myself
