Picked up a few CDs this week.

Used finds in local shops... Most of these I already have on vinyl, but at $4-$5 a piece, I couldn't pass them up! These Judas Priest remasters will $4 each and still factory sealed... crazy.

- Absu: s/t
- Candlemass: King Of The Grey Islands
- Judas Priest: Hell Bent For Leather [remaster]
- Judas Priest: Screaming For Vengeance [remaster]
- Judas Priest: Point Of Entry [remaster]
- King Crimson: Happy With What You Have To Be Happy With
- Queensryche: Queensryche EP
- Rush: Permanent Waves [remaster]
- Leslie West: Mountain
- Wire: Read & Burn 03
- Hawkwind: Quark: Strangeness And Charm
- Hawkwind: Welcome To The Future ~ this is a weird 4 disc set...
DISC 1: "Masters of The Universe"
DISC 2: "Bring Me The Head of Yuri Gagarin"
DISC 3: "Space Ritual Vol. 2"
DISC 4: "The Text of Festival"

And a couple of heavy-prog beauties via eBay

- Módulo 1000: Não Fale Com Paredes [2010 expanded reissue]
- Toad: s/t [mini-LP edition]

I just picked up the new 3-CD set [I]Grind Madness at the BBC: The Earache Peel Sessions[I/]. I'm about halfway through it, and so far it's super rad.

Great haul X-D!!!!

I finally got a chance to watch the concert part of SAXON's dvd TO HELL & BACK AGAIN, and it's freakin' awesome. Killer set list, the band is tight, and Biff sounds as good as he did when he helped define the NWOBHM. This band still ROCKS. Now to find time to watch the documentary stuff.

After 4 tries, I finally got all the way through the new HELSTAR.... Fuckin' Incredible, and the 2 cover songs ain't too bad either. They seem to have a thing for covering the Scorpions... and they do it well.

Watching the Saxon documentary disc of To Hell & Back Again. Very cool behind the scenes stuff.

I'm lucky to be able to play my own music at work; however, when we're open & have customers walking through the gallery I do try to be sensible and not play anything too offensive... that's why it took me a few days to get through the new HELSTAR. Every time I started listening to it at work customers started coming in. I try to be polite and limit what metal I listen to; although sometimes, I just need something heavy & violent to get me through the day, and figure they'll just have to deal with it while I get my fix. I ended up putting the HELSTAR in my car's cd player so I could listen to the whole thing while driving to and from work.

Type o Negative-Life is Killing Me
Suicidal Tendencies-How Will I Laugh Tomorrow
Chemical Brothers-Dig Your Own Hole
Guided By Voices-Under the Bushes
Skid Row-S/T

Trying to imagine Lee listening to some Skid Row... dunno why that's so hard to envision.

A few more CDs from eBay. Finally got all of the Eloy releases from the 1970s covered, whoo hoo.

- Brainticket: Cottonwoodhill
- Eloy: Silent Cries And Mighty Echoes [remaster]
- Eloy: Colours [remaster]

Haha, not meant as a dig Lee, just an unexpected title from you. I'd snag that up for $2.80 in a heartbeat.

I couldn't imagine the great and almighty Mez getting groove on to Sebatian Bach either (at any price)... guess we were wrong.
Nice to know you enjoy some cheezey metal... if the price is cheap enough. I own Slave to the Grind + Subhuman Race + B-Side Ourselves which I think are damn good album for that genre of metal... however I won't touch that first album no matter how cheap it is.

You're welcome, Schroeder, I think you're gonna love it. It's still on high rotation here at home and I suppose it won't leave my CD player for some while.

BTW, yesterday I bought:

DEEP PURPLE - Deepest Purple

The 30th anniversary CD/DVD remaster. Great!
