Haha, me too! Their CDs are tough to find locally... I can always order online, but it's the thrill of the hunt.

Speaking of online purchases, I received these in the mail today from an eBay purchase.

LOS DUG DUG'S
- Cambia, Cambia
- El Loco

Some great Mexican psych/rock stuff from the 70s! Great two round up these last two albums from their original run.

Finding stuff like this is like my biggest thrill these days.....damn, my life is boring. They've got a pretty large vinyl section too but if I started combing over that every time I go in there I'd never get out.
What UFO would you suggest? I heard a track off Lights Out the other day and was blown away. So I guess that's a good one...but I don't know much more than that.

Yep, UFO's Phenomenon album contains Rock Bottom and is, in my opinion, their strongest effort. I also like their follow up "Force It" and "Lights Out" a lot! I'm also a big fan of the UFO-2 Flying LP, but it's a totally different style... space rock to the Nth degree!

Aside from KISS, UFO was the first metallic band I really got into due to my older brother being a huge fan. I was jammin' out to Rock Bottom in like 5th grade, haha. Still love them and Schenker's first few solo albums.

I'm with ya John, I don't think I'll ever sell off my collection. At some point, I could see handing it off to my kids or something, but actually selling it off would be a traumatic experience. I actually prefer giving CDs away when I have duplicates, as opposed to selling them.

evil laugh...well, with the lot of you collecting all of this great shite maybe you should consider setting up some sort of "Schroeder Library" where all our stuff will go once we start dying off. Turntables, speakers, cans and ALL! Make it a traveling tour bus of killer music.

It's official and just came out on cd and dvd/blu ray. I listened to the cd today. Very lively, colorful, and energetic. Perry is very.... well, Perry!!! Great set list from the recent tour which includes a few songs (love the last album), and of course the classics. I do wish it was longer. I need to find time to watch the blu ray.

OLIVA is an interesting album to listen to especially after reading the liner notes about these being songs he wrote with his brother Criss and some of them are pre Savatage. It's definitely different than what I was expecting, but I like that he finally got these released to pay respects to Criss an it's something unique for us die hard fans.

JUDAS PRIEST - Epitaph (Halford sounds way better than on Rising In The East, plus, Never Satisfied!!!)
SATAN'S WRATH - Galloping Blasphemy (great retro-metal by some doom/stoner alumni)
SOUND CITY movie (great documentary)
VOIVOD - To The Death 84 (it was getting on my nerves not having this album yet)

--------------------

"Forty-five moments of perfection translated through a cautionary escape into the perils of the mundane, the inherent entropy in ultimate order, and the potential threats of eternal, unchecked apathy in civilization; all cloaked in musical expression so thoughtful, creative and forward thinking that almost a quarter-century later, few can even comprehend it, much less match it." (autothrall)
