Destruction - All hell broke loose
Destruction - Metal Discharge

I had high hopes on both of them but after a short listen they don't do it for me. I was kind of expecting heavy thrash rhythms like in the old days (Eternal Devestation and infernal overkill) but they sound different to me.

Oh well €10,- for 2 promo's isnn't that expencive...

Queensryche - Building Empires dvd

a couple weeks ago I finally got motivated to empty out the closet of all my vhs videos (bootlegs, official concerts & videos, documentaries i recorded from MTV) i had already dubbed a lot of them to dvdr and held onto 1 or 2, after checking Ebay and realizing no one is buying them, so they aren't worth holding onto, i tossed the rest of them in the dumpster. there were a few remaining ones, like this one by Queensryche, that I wanted to purchase on dvd that i hadn't already bought previously.

I've pretty much loved EVERYTHING Overkill has released (a few songs here and there have been weak), and this one is no exception. Good old fashion speed thrash metal with that nasty New Jersey twist. I'd have to say Overkill has been the most consistant American metal thrash band that has been been around since the early days, and never really had much of a lapse between records, and never ventured to far from what they do best.

Everyone's saying this is their best record in many years, but I enjoyed Immortalis just as much as this. Maybe there is a bit more spark, a little more power, a more urgent need to kill on IRONBOUND, but to me it's just another awesome OVERKILL album.

BUY IT

Got on my mail:

Please Please Me
With The Beatles
Help!
Revolver
Sgt. Peppers
White Album
Let It Be
Past Masters

And finished my Beatles remasters collection. The box was too expensive, I spent less than half the money on separate CDs!

Man that BLOWS the box is so expensive down there, I even ripped myself off by getting it through amazon.com but I needed it delivered by Christmas and that was the only way really. At least you got all the albums, I don't think there's even a booklet or anything like that in the box so it's the same exact shit, just no "box" hahaha.

Cheers!

Been waiting for this on eBay for over a year, as a collector's item sealed, I already have one that is open and I use. Won the auction for $112.50, which is roughly the retail price plus tax back when it was released in 2003. A fucking STEAL. These go for anywhere from 200 to 500 bucks. But I'm saving it, of course, because I'm a collector haha.

FUCK!!! I didn't know the Slayer Apocalypse crate was worth so much now. I think I scored mine for around $40 a few years ago at a record store. it was used but in mint condition. Killer packaging. It sits next to my Metallica "Live Shit Binge & Purge" Crate case.

I've missed opportunities to see Thrice live. After watching their Live At The House Of Blues dvd, they put out a lot of energy on stage. They're certainly not for everyone's liking, especially on this forum, but I think they're pretty fuckin' amazing and have lots of different sounds in their bag of tricks.
