Will that mean the next HANGNAIL will be on Sanctuary? If so they should consider themselves lucky.

Hey NuclearV, can you put the urls of those sites up? I'd love to see Alice in ChainZZ!

Also, I bought Sepultura's Under a Pale Grey Sky, their last ever show with Max on vocals. And tears dropped from my eyes (well, not really). It made me remember how good they were...

Hey Väinämöinen,

Here's a link to the Metal-Sludge 'exposed' section that has the Alice'N'Chainz and Pantera stuff. Hiliarious!

A funny story... I grew up in the same neighborhood as Layne and the 'Chainz'. Although I didn't really know 'em, a friend of mine was actually IN the band for a short period of time. His name is Morgan and he is pictured here with Layne... looking mighty gay!

X-D's 6 degrees of seperation from Alice In Chains is that Morgan played bass in my old band before joining the Chainz! I actually replaced him in my band which changed formats (BTW, I was NEVER glam!), preceding to tear the high-school scene to pieces! LOL! And then, just when we released our 2-track basement recorded demo and were getting ready for a county-wide tour, we broke up. Meanwhile, Morgan lasted all but 4-6 months in the 'Chainz' and well, you guys know their history. One memory about Morgan was that he played a white Worlock bass with fishnet wrapped around it.

HAHAHAHAHAHA! I am a dork!

You asked for it, you got it! Here's that Pantera site:
http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Acropolis/6731/

and here's a really good site to see the sordid pasts of many a cool band, including Alice In Chainz and Slayer:
http://www.metal-sludge.com/Exposed.htm

Enjoy!

HAHAHAHA!!
Those sites are funny NucV, especially the Pantera one. Of course the guy has a serious hang-up with the group for hating them so much. Maybe they wouldn't let him be a groupie?
I like Pantera but only for the music mainly, I can't understand a fucking word Phil ever says (screams). Let's not forget Terry Date (Soundgarden) broke them onto the scene, so it's all his fault!
And one more thing about the Metal Sludge site: Most of those groups are faggots now, so what's the difference?hehehe

Well, I went to the cd store and saw a bunch of things I'd like to have. Drooled over the new Sepultura. Had it in my hand for ten minutes then said, shit, I can't afford this. Twenty three bucks??? So I went over to the King Crimson section and almost picked up that new EP of theres but shit, only 33 minutes?? Thirteen bucks??? Nope, can't do that either. Then I went over and almost got the new Meshuggah and remembered some of you dissing it so I dropped that too.
So I came back with nothing. Hellfire!

Oh i'll tell you what i just bought:

Voivod - Thrashing Rage pic disc EP... It was 15$ US, so pretty much 25$ Canadian, and as if that wasnt enough, i had 23$ Canadian worth of custom fees to pay if i wanted to get the package... fucking UPS... so that's almost 50$ Canadian. Oh yah... i'm real happy about it... PSYCH!!

But hey the thing is brand new and supposedly never played (i did play it.. hell, for 50$ i'll shit on it if i want to), so i cant bitch too much.

That's the last thing i actually bought, but i've downloaded tons of crap, and good crap too. Shah - P.S.I.H.O. (thanks Hex) and a bunch of other stuff.

Ha, ha. I knew you would say that Schroeder. NucFusion, I would highly recommend those Sepultura albums. The reason I wanted to get that Under the Pale Sky was that I have Blood Rooted which is awesome. Especially the live stuff on there, so an entire live album with the original members should be excellent!

I just got Nuclear Assault - Handle With Care used for $8.00! I've had the cassette for years and it fucking rules!
I also got Guitaro - Futura Black. They're a local shoegazer/psychadelic band reminiscent of My Bloody Valentine. Excellent album.

Alright Mezcal, your advice is being heeded. I got into Sepultura back in '90, Beneath the Remains. I was one of those kids that would buy a tape if the cover looked cool. I had friends that liked metal but not the real raw, thrashy stuff. I'm the one that turned THEM onto it all. So, believe it or not that's how I discovered Slayer in '86 (Show No Mercy) and VOIVOD in '89 (Nothingface). Bought them on pure blind faith, and I wasn't the least disappointed!
