V.A. - Revolution Calling CD+DVD

This compilation is the 1st release by Violent Solutions, VsGreg's webzine.
A snapshot of the current metal / hardcore french scene. A lot of very interesting things here...
Info site (all in french, ask Greg for an english version! ) :
www.vs-webzine.com/indrev.php?act=krevintrod.htm

End Of Days - Dedicated to the Extreme from their show, opening for ND: vocals very similar to John Tardy's, not very original but sounds great in concert.
www.end-of-days.info

Brutal Truth - for drug crazed grindfreaks only! live at noctum studio +1 excellent!

second hand:
Voivod - The Outer Limits
(for a friend who needs help finding stuff... funny, I taped this album for him at least twice back in the day, more recently he downloaded mp3's, AND I burned him a cd-r copy because he still couldn't find the original; now I hope he won't ask me for the vinyl!)

Went to the best records store in Carolina yesterday on a Chuck binge buying:

Sounds of Perserverance

Symbolic

Oh, too many wonderful albums to pick from in this place...so little time. Great thing to actually walk in a store and look at stuff rather than searching for stuff online then having to WAIT for it to come in the mail.

Tuesday's spree:
Clutch - Pitchfork and Lost Needles

Kreator - Enemy Of God ( that reminds me I need to pop this in the computer to see the video)

Bruce Dickinson - Alive 3 cd remastered (Studio A - The Marquee - Scream 4 Me Brazil)

A. Morrissette - Jagged Little Pill acoustic (I'm dissapointed, and I do like Alanis, but this was boring)

Beck - Guero (never liked Beck, but I heard some of this a month ago while in the record store and it's been in my head since then... groovy disc, man)

Porcupine Tree - Deadwing dvd a vesrion (my second copy, couldn't pass it up for a used price of $9)

ALANIS ACOUSTIC?????? Sorry, Schroed but that is just wrong. I mean...like very wrong....momma....

I picked up:

Mercury Rev- (can't remember name....)

Guided By Voices- 'Best of' for anyone who likes folk rock(I don't)and even for those who don't, GBV is a magical force in a field of pretenders. Robert Pollard is a poet with a tremendous voice.

Motorhead- No Sleep til Hammersmith..my first Motor purchase...yah, i know shoot me but atleast i don't like Alani...I won't go there....

Stereolab- 'Cobra and Phases....'

EOLB- Prologue (see other thread) The best one of the lot by far!!!

I knew I'd get flamed for buying the Morrissette cd... oh well, guilty pleasure. She writes cool lyrics and has a great voice.

Now let's talk about NOT having a Motorhead cd until NOW!!!!! At least you were smart enough to buy No Sleep Til Hammersmith, which is a must have for any REAL metalhead's collection... yes, of course I have it along with all their early cool albums, before they got stale and redundant.

Mez, go buy ANOTHER PERFECT DAY... one of my fave Motorhead albums.
