Joe Satriani - Unstoppable Momentum Deep Purple - Now What?! Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - The Heist (I'm not someone who listens to hip hop or rap usually but this guy delivers great messages and a bad ass beat and check out this funny as fuck video) http://youtu.be/QK8mJJJvaes Clutch - Strange Cousins From the West (vinyl) BOOKS: Yngwie J. Malmsteen "Relentless - The Memoir" (i'm curious to see if Malmsteen admits to being a Dick like Mustaine did in his book... I doubt it) Stephen Pearcy "Sex Drugs Ratt & Roll My Life in Rock" (I've never really been a fan of this guy but it should still be an interesting read) -------------------- yawn

Seattle After seeing Prince last month I realized I only had one of his albums (Around the World), so I looked around and discovered recently some of his older stuff has been remastered and reissued. Sometimes it pays off to wait (or be oblivious haha) Japanese mini LP SHM-CD's Prince - For You Prince - Prince Prince - 1999 And 180 gram vinyl Prince - Dirty Mind Prince - Controversy These were all from eBay and I had some sorta special promotion that if I made purchases of $50 or more (limit 3) I would get a $10 credit. So I saved some $$ in the process, basically free shipping. --------------------

Nice haul on the Prince classics!!!todays mail box of goodies: CLUTCH - Pitchfork (the original 4 track cd) DUG PINNICK - Naked MUMFORD & SONS - Babel also (and very important) a replacement stylus for my Shure M97XE cartridge. I wasn't sure how old the one I was using was, so I thought it best to replace it and keep the old one as a back up. The old one sounds pretty good, but I didn't want to take any chances. -------------------- yawn

Thanks MrMustard! Yeah, I am fully intending to give this a listen. I wasn't overly hung up on the lineup change, but was advised by a friend to stick with just the original lineup releases when he turned me on to Mahavishnu Orchestra so many moons ago. Always good guidence for getting into a band at first and then grown from there. And the Lost Trident Sessions are great! Totally own that one. Picked up these CDs today. All were used finds except for the new Alice In Chains, which I bought to make up for downloading a few days ago, haha. It's pretty awesome, I think. - Alice In Chains: The Devil Put Dinsaurs Here - Cirith Ungol: King Of The Dead - Cirith Ungol: One Foot In Hell - High Tide: Sea Shanties - Orne: The Conjuration By The Fire Happy to unearth these Cirith Ungol discs too! Oh yeah! -------------------- I am a robot... bleep blop bloop

That is a mighty fine lookng Whitesnake box set Dave! I'm a fan of the early Whitesnake stuff, before it went all hairspray and puckering lips, haha. I have most of those releases (in the box set) on vinyl!Just one CD purchase, yesterday... - Black Flag: The First Four Years Always appreciated the innovative nature of Black Flag, but like the rawness of the early, pre-Henry Rollins stuff the best. -------------------- I am a robot... bleep blop bloop
