Ed Kowalczyk - AliveSarah McLachlan - Laws of Illusion ps: I am totally blown away by the new Ozzy album. I never picked up Black Rain (but probably will now just to complete the catalog) but SCREAM is the best album he's released in... I don't even know what the last one wasa that topped this. -------------------- yawn

Haha, could be man. I actually didn't realize it was no longer available either, so extra bonus. Need to check out that Rush doc! Ducked into a shop called Zion Music in Seattle yesterday that is packed from wall to wall with metal vinyl and CDs. I mean, PACKED. Didn't have but a couple minutes in the place (I was supposed to be out getting a lawn mower blade), but will be returning soon. Took me mere seconds to walk out of there with some Reverend Bizarre CDs. - Harbinger Of Metal - Reverend Bizarre II: Crush The Insects -------------------- I am a robot... bleep blop bloop

Some goodies last weekend:AC/DC - Iron Man 2 Collectors Edition, CD + DVD + AC/DC poster + Iron Man # 1 mag. Looks gorgeous on my collection. Miles Davis - Kind of Blue Special 50th anniversary edition, 2 CDs + DVD + a super cool T Shirt that... Doesn't fit. Bummer. This one is obviously dedicated to Mez, since it looks terrific next to my Big Bad Voodoo Daddy CD. -------------------- "Forty-five moments of perfection translated through a cautionary escape into the perils of the mundane, the inherent entropy in ultimate order, and the potential threats of eternal, unchecked apathy in civilization; all cloaked in musical expression so thoughtful, creative and forward thinking that almost a quarter-century later, few can even comprehend it, much less match it." With probably 3000 cds on my shelf and counting, the only honest answers I can give are "no but catching up" and "resounding no". Why do I keep buying CDs in this situation is beyond my understanding. Probably it's a mania and I need a doctor.
I have about 200 cd's and 30 lp's But I listen to each and every one of them at least 5-6 times and some of them countless times. (voivod meshuggah ) I honestly think I enjoy music as much as any one else with or without numberous albums....... -------------------- trrrrr ta trrrrr ta trrrrr ta trrrrr ta trrrrr ta trrrrr trrrrr ta trrrrr ta trrrrr ta trrrrr ta trrrrr ta trrrrr

The Heaven & Hell dvd is a must have especially since it's one of Dio's last full concerts released and it shows just how amazing he was. Even in his mid 60's the guy had the vocals that seasoned singers 1/3 his age can't top.I was just listening to the cd of this yesterday.I have probably well over 8000 cds. A lot of them are purely collectors items and multiple copies of the same record, so I may have tried to listen to them when I first received them but then use the regular release or a cdr when I want to listen again. I have a shit load of live recordings (many people call them bootlegs) of which I usually try to listen to at least when I first get them but then they just sit on the shelf waiting for a chance they might possibly be pull out one day to play again. It's a ridiculous habit (hobby) when you see it from someone else's eyes, where it doesn't really make sense to have 12 different versions of the exact same recording, just packaged different or remastered or as a promo or any other stupid reason. I've really made a conscious effort to cut back this year and not "need" everything and be more selective. Don't even get me started on the vinyl, that I do ocassionaly spin, but it's mostly just my obsessive compulsive nature when collecting a band. I try not to think about the insane amount of money I've sunk into my collection, but when I do I remember all the great times I've had collecting it and listening to it, and I convince myself the pleasure I've received from this addiction is priceless. My world would not exist if it wasn't for music. -------------------- yawn

Cool - another Nephilim fan, finally! I was wondering, what do you think of the newer discs "Fallen," "Mourning Sun," and the side project by Carl McCoy, "Zoon." ??? BTW - there is a Nephilim message board, go to google and type Dawnrazor forums.

A few items in the mail this last couple of days...- Area: Arebeit Macht Frei [mini-LP edition] ~Mentioned ordering this before, but it arrived during the week and gave it spin again and was floored all over again. Their early records are highly recommended to anyone into fusion ala Mahavishnu Orchestra, but way heavier and with some slight middle eastern influence, not to mention somewhat political lyrics (in Italian), ha. Musically, they definitly give me a braingasm. - Candlemass: Ancient Dreams [2-disc remaster] - Reverend Bizarre: In The Rectory Of... [reissue that also includes Return To The Rectory as a bonus disc] - Mekong Delta: Visions Fugitives ~my ongoing pursuit of all things Mekong Delta continues... Looking forward to the pending new album too! -------------------- I am a robot... bleep blop bloop
