Yeah, I heard some Killswitch Engage today - very suprised, I thought they were just another Nu-Metal wankband. But no, very competent old school-iih death.Heard some new Nile, too. Sounds pretty much exactly the same as the last two albums. Respect and all, but..... Oh aye, I finally got round to buying 'Ram It Down' and 'Back In Black' Back In Black is fucking great! Ram It Down has two nice songs, the rest really is a bit wank. I should really listen to the people on this forum! Now, where did I leave my copy of Turbo?

For the first time in a while, I have actually been able to find some discs I've been looking for at a good price.QOTSA - Songs For The Deaf: Ok, I saw the other thread on this one, but damn this album is good! The Melvins - Hostile Ambient Takeover: The Melvins are one of my favorite (top 5) and this album is fuckin' great! Adam Jones from Tool guest one some tracks and there's much weirdness happening here! Orange Goblin - The Big Black: Some cool stoner/doom metal here! Cathedral - Forest of Equilibrium: The first album! Good shit! Chrome - Alien Soundtracks: I recently got this on vinyl and just ripped it to cd! All I can say is the title is a perfect description of this record! Cool!

Too bad Mutt Lange went on to fucking country music!
Gotta agree with h on this, you just started the shit with the best. I'm surely suspect on recommending any album, as I like them all. Anyway, from the Bon Scott era, the best next choices are, surely, Let There Be Rock, and also the live album, If You Want Blood. The Geordie bloke (that was good!) also did other goodies, from which I point For Those About To Rock and, surprisingly, Ballbreaker (the first after the return of Phil Rudd, production skills by Rick Rubin). Mutt Lange was one of the best producers of his time, hands down. Back In Black, some Def Leppard albums (High'n'Dry and Pyromania included, I suppose...). Good for the country scene to have such a talented guy!

Hey Staytanic,I just checked Mutt Lange's discography on allmusic.com and, besides AC/DC, it reads like a who's who of crap. It seems after the guy made a name for himself in arena rock he went on to produce, in addition to Shania Twain, acts like The Backstreet Boys, Celine Dion, Britney Spears, Bryan Adams, and numerous other worthless acts. Obviously the guy's loaded with talent, but damn... I guess money speaks louder than artistic intent, just ask Terry Brown! Sorry KKS... just threw that TB part in to mess with ya!
