Just in today - all 4 Butterfly Temple cds. Finally! Wrapped in brown paper and tied with twine, I love getting packages from Russia...now if only the rest would get here. Actually I shouldn't complain, that hardly took any time at all, really!

I just realized the Irond release of Veles has a different tracklisting than the original release - shuffled things around a bit plus dropped Alma Mater and replaced it with Song of War. Very nice! Guess that means I don't retire the cdr after all.

And today I picked up Opeth - Still Life. I just heard these guys for the first time yesterday and I was blown away!

Just received in the mail:
MASTERS OF REALITY - FLAK'N'FLIGHT LIVE IN EUROPE 2001 (this completes my MOR collection)

STEVE JANSEN & RICHARD BARBIERI - OTHER WORLDS IN A SMALL ROOM (got a great deal on this on Ebay, Barbieri is the keyboardist from Porcupine Tree and both him & Jansen were in Japn, who I don't like, but the side projects are usually a cool ambient groove kinda thing)

Picked up these the other day:

Tenacious D - The Complete Master Works DVD - fuckin hilarious! It has a live show from the Brixton Academy, the videos, the making of the videos, the HBO stuff, the MAD TV and Conan O'Brien appearances...what more could a fan of The D ask for!

Anthrax - Among The Living - replacing yet another vinyl. Gawd, I love this album.

My weekly trip to Record & Tape Traders:
Bernie Torme - Wild Irish (I remembered him from his days with Gillan, and for $2.99 figured I had nothing to loose. when I opened the case there was even a bonus disc inside. I'm listening to it now and although I was hoping it was going to be an instrumental cd, he sounds okay singing on this. I had an early Torme vinyl album years ago and hated it. Certainly worth the $2.99)

Saxon - Wheels Of Steel/ Strong Arm Of The Law (double cd used $12.99 ... a no brainer purchase)

Deep Purple - Bananas (finally bought it and I don't know why I waited so long. Not their best but it still kicks)

Various Artists - Sucking The 70's (this one made my day!!! double cd for &6.99 with a band called HANGNAIL covering Bron-yr-Stomp... can't wait to crank this mutha)

Peter Gabriel - Growing Up Live DVD (I've never seen PG live but loved the Secret World Live dvd... he puts on a helluva stage show, and besides Levin's on the stick and bass... of course)

Three damn good 'uns... "Altars" is one amazing motherfucker of an album. And the Emperor ones blew me away too, just in a different way.

Just picked up the latest Dream Theater cd. I thought the last one (especially the opening track) ruled, but this one seems a bit to dull to me. Doesn't have any punch to it. Kinda reminds me of metallica. Maybe I need a few more listens, but right now dissapointment reigns....

Hey Skul! I got a blast of that Probot cd recently. Gotta say the Wino track rules for me. The Snake track is cool, but that chorus is way more Foo Fighters than Voivod. The production is better than the last Vod album though. Snakes vocals sit much better in the mix...
Mind you, I only heard it once on someone elses hi-fi, so I could be barking a load of shite!

I just ventured into my local record shop in the town in the town near where I just moved to - and bought Cold Lake & Vanity/Nemisis on Vinyl for £2.50 each! Top stuff.

The man at the counter winced when I showned him THAT back cover photo. Pubes and all.

Loads of Caberet Voltaire that I haven't got too (didn't think that was possible). Lets hear it for backwater record shops!

yes, it's the same band, it's on Mausoleum records. Looks like a compilation:+tracklist

(I love that cover)
it's listed at amazon.de

tracks 1-5 from 2001, I think it's 'Devour'
tracks 6-8 from 1999, probably 'Swarm' without the first version of 'Bleed'

and the last tracks:
09- Diamond
10- My Eyes have seen you (the Doors)
recorded 1999. I think they were released on the net as mp3s, you already have them don't you?
