After reading this, gave that Ghost album a go in the car today. Interesting stuff... not sure what I think of it just yet, but will definitly be giving it another spin.Hit a couple of local shops this week and came home with the following... - Agitation Free: 2nd [remaster] - Amon Düül II: Made In Germany [remaster] - Beatles: Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band [remaster] - Beatles: Abbey Road [remaster] - Christ On Parade: Sounds Of Nature - Flower Travellin' Band: Make Up [2010 limited edition reissue] - Gentle Giant: Three Friends [Japan mini-LP edition] - Satyricon: Dark Medieval Times Need to slow down until I figure out the storage situation for my CDs. Getting to become an issue with the wife. If anybody has recommendations for racks/shelves for this kind of thing (large capacity) I'd be interested in hearing 'em. -------------------- I am a robot... bleep blop bloop

Waiting for two goodies to arrive:MASTODON - Live at the Aragon (CD + DVD, limited edition) VOIVOD - Angel Rat Sampler (hail E-Bay!) -------------------- "Forty-five moments of perfection translated through a cautionary escape into the perils of the mundane, the inherent entropy in ultimate order, and the potential threats of eternal, unchecked apathy in civilization; all cloaked in musical expression so thoughtful, creative and forward thinking that almost a quarter-century later, few can even comprehend it, much less match it." Way overpriced at $36.48 (I ordered this the day the band mentioned it of Facebook includes shipping from Warner Bros) considering the cd/dvd is selling for around $12, but it's Mastodon so I'm cool with it.
I'm eagerly waiting for my copy. Having the excellent mail service that we do, it should arrive within the next few months... -------------------- "Forty-five moments of perfection translated through a cautionary escape into the perils of the mundane, the inherent entropy in ultimate order, and the potential threats of eternal, unchecked apathy in civilization; all cloaked in musical expression so thoughtful, creative and forward thinking that almost a quarter-century later, few can even comprehend it, much less match it." Hey Dave, belated thanks for the great media storage recommendation! Looking like I will probably start with two of those and see how that works out for us. Really need a storage upgrade for the CDs and this look perfect. Thanks again! It appears that I have an embarassingly large update... Went to the Seattle Record Show yesterday and brought home a big bag of stuff. In a weird reversal of fates, I noticed an unusually large amount of CDs for sale with low prices ranging from $.50 to $2.50 each, while LP prices are generally up, though still more or less reasable. Stumbled on some awesome finds, as you can see below. All of these came from the show... Vinyl LPs - Dead Brain Cells: s/t debut album [amazing find and in great condiciton!] - Jade Warrior: Floating World - Jade Warrior: Waves - Mercyful Fate: Melissa - Pink Floyd: More - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack - Pink Floyd: Obscured by Clouds - Sir Lord Baltimore: Kingdom Come [original pressing! another great find!] - Wire: The Ideal Copy Compact Discs [all these were between $1-$2.50 each] - Anthrax: Spreading The Disease - Anthrax: Among The Living - Black Sabbath: Live Evil [1996 remaster] - Deep Purple: Deep Purple In Concert 1970~1972 [2001 remaster] - Destruction: Thrash Anthems - Dio: The Last In Line - Gentle Giant: Octopus - Iommi: The 1996 DEP Sessions (Tony Iommi & Glenn Hughes) - Iommi: Fused (Tony Iommi & Glenn Hughes) - Led Zeppelin: Physical Graffiti [remaster. $1 and in good condition!] - Lynyrd Skynyrd: Pronounced 'leh-'nerd 'skin-'nerd [2001 expanded remster] - Nile: Amongst The Catacombs Of Nephren-Ka - Panic: Fact - Panic: Epidemic - Sacred Reich: Independent - Less Than Zero - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack [$1 CD, worth it if only for the Slayer cover of Inna-Gotta-Da-Vida] Some recent non record show purchases, mail order and local finds, all CDs here... - Deep Purple: Perfect Strangers [1999 remaster] - Destruction: Day Of Reckoning - Magma: Ëmëhntëhtt-Ré - Night Sun: Mournin' - Reverend Bizarre: Slave Of Satan [single] - Karl Sanders: Saurian Exorcisms - T2: It'll All Work Out In Boomland [2008 expanded remaster] - UFO: Phenomenon [2007 expanded remaster] Good to finally own actual copies of the Night Sun and T2 releases as I've been living off of the mp3 versions of these since Greg Gloomp turned me on to both of these albums years ago. -------------------- I am a robot... bleep blop bloop

Glad I could help X-D. Those towers get damn heavy when you fill them up so, take my advice, if you ever need to move them make sure you empty them out first. I think I fucked up a couple of mine trying to move them on a hand dolly after shrink wrapping them with all the cds still on the shelves.GREAT haul of music at incredible prices. I miss record shows. Recently arriving in the Schroeder collection: Holy Dio - Tribute to Ronnie James Dio (Fates Warning, Jag Panzer, Angel Dust, Destiny's End, and a bunck of other great bands paying respect to THE MAN) Pearl Jam - 1993/1995 VS - Vitology remastered deluxed cd set with live at the Orpheum 1994 Queensryche - Empire (20th Anniversary box set edition which includes live show and other extra goodies) California Guitar Trio - Echoes -------------------- yawn
