I saw him on his solo tour last year... INCREDIBLE. You should join the TEN CLUB and then you'd have already been given a chance to buy premium seats before they went on sale to the public. I past up going this year... too many other expenses. I hope you get to go. I've been enjoying the 2009 Live box set of all their shows. I keep telling myself I've got to stop buying all these but always end up getting them. I also ordered the Super Deluxe Box set for the VS/Vitalogy albums. -------------------- yawn

I originally wasn't going to get the super deluxe box set this time and ordered the deluxe cd set from Amazon, but then after looking at my TEN super deluxe set and realizing how cool it is and all the cool extra stuff they're putting in this set, I couldn't let it pass me by. Amazon wouldn't let me cancel the cd because it was part of a bigger order that allowed me to get free shipping... OH WELL.I've been in the TEN club since TEN was released and it's well worth the price. The 7 inch Holiday records that they send each year make it worth the cost, but add to that advance tickets will killer seats which I've taken advantage of a few time over the years. Access to all the official live shows (I've purchased the entire 2000, 2003, shows and the box sets of the 2008 & 2009 tours also). Being able to buy the vinyl and other special releases (just ordered the TRES MTS cd and got a copy of Jeff Aments cd which sold out very quickly) is cool. I've also actually won one of the many contests they've had and received a mixed tape created by Jeff. GREAT CLUB -------------------- yawn

Akercocke is a brilliant band. Mendonca is one of the most talented performers in metal IMO. I don't see how he cranks out machine gun-like riffs and also handles those incredible vocals at the same time. That is beyond crazy to me.
Definitely pick up their album 'Words that Go Unspoken, Deeds that Go Undone'. IMO this is the best thing they've done yet. Mainly cause its such a diverse groups of songs. Nothing else like them in the world of DM.

Nice! Cheers to the Big Fish and the Big Three. My weekend was quite nice as well, caught a Big Something, though not a cold fish meself. We have a boatload of nothing coming to Albuquerque.
