Voïvod were amazing. I kept smiling for days after the gig I'm still smiling hahaha.
I got shake hands with Away and Blacky. Band seems to be so happy and its great.

I just saw The Gathering last tuesday ... what an amazing band to see live ... goosebumps all the way (and it's their 6th show I've been to).

I remember having spoken with Hans (drummer)in 2004 (their first show here) about Piggy collaborating with some guitars for a then upcoming TG album ... he told me they couldn't make it happen so far because of scheduling issues, but he was really looking forward to it happening; being some of the bandmembers big Voivod fans. I've always wondered about the outcome of such cool collaboration. A shame it never happened.

What shows are coming to the Vroomfondels couch this one rather:

Our state controlled / Licensed tv here will show the Big 4 from Ullevi in Göteborg 3/7 live. They aired Maiden live a few years back. Nothing like Slayer speeding away on the old dinosaur/socialist leftover television

Sonisphere is here this weekend. I dont even know what bands are there...

This weekend going to the "Gorge" amphitheatre in George, Washington (haha) for the first time to see Soundgarden, Mastodon, Queens of the Stone Age and Meat Puppets. Ought to rock a bit I think.

Ooops- sorry Bilibaldus forgot to reply.
Yes Black Breath were very good!! We menaced them with our sword.
Some band called EOLB are playing on Saturday. Dunno if they're any good. Apparantly they smell funny though, so we'll probably stand at the back somewhere clapping politely between songs.
Bloodstock in a couple of weeks, so Coroner and Triptykon there, then Cannabis Corpse in September.

BLUE OYSTER CULT is playing at the inlet in Ocean City Maryland this Saturday Sept 17 for Bikefest. Just a few blocks from where I work. I'll be claiming some religious time to leave work early since they start at 4:30!!!!

It's $15 for all 4 days of Bikefest which includes other bands like Rare Earth, The Guess Who, and Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute band, a Motley Crue tribute band, a Poison tribute band (WTF?), and a few others. I'll gladly pay $15 JUST to see BOC!!!!

I might have to hit that Anthrax Testament Death Angel tour. It's coming to Silver Spring MD which I think is the closest place they're playing to where I live. Great line up!!!
