saw Porcupine Tree and ProjeKCt 6 (belew & fripp) this past Saturday. Great show!!! P6 was interesting, as I expected it to be. It's tough not wanting Belew to be playing guitar or singing, but they did some cool improvs to open the show. Porcupine Tree did a split set with the first 1/2 comprised of all new material that will (or might) make it to the next album. Great songs, very heavy. One clocked in at just under 20 minutes. a couple new ones need some work, as they seemed to go nowhere and kinda drag, but I'm sure they will get fleshed out before they are finalised. The second set was a bunch of tunes from various albums and they had the seated theater all on their feet, and cheering like madmen (and women) as they tore thru some classic PT tunes. Great evening, and they are now headed to the west coast for a few dates, so if you get the chance to see them and they aren't sold out already... GO!!!

Finally somethings cooking around here!

Next Thursday it's Satyricon time in Malmö. A town about 1,5 hours away.

AAANNNDDD: Napalm Fucking Death plays a supersmall place 45 minutes away January 11. It has a capacity of about 350 peeps so that place will hopefully be cooking.

The only problem is that around here most youngsters are more into eurotechno ala that fucking Frog ringtone crap, and exploring the science of: How big fucking rear wing can you possibly put on a Volvo 240 DL from 82

...It sucked?

Haha, nah just kidding, it was pretty fucking good. I got there after Goatwhore, which pisses me off because they were one of the main reasons I was going, but at least I got to talk to Ben and Sammy for a minute in the parking lot. took about 30 minutes to find parking, fuck shelling out $10

Destruction was really toned down (not TUNED down), not anything like on "tape". Played sorta slower, mid-paced, yet good, much props to them. First time to see 'em, met Schmier, man that fucker is TALL Got a pic with him, but it's on someone else's camera, who knows when I'll actually get it Poor Mike is a twig though, damn he is skinny. I love his style and all that but he looks kinda sick, but that isn't my place or any of my business.

God Forbid was good, I've seen them before, they have alot of energy but they are on the fence in terms of being a really good metal band or nu-metal (IMO).

Now to Over Kill. First time to see them too. HOLY SHIT. Very tight bunch, and they should be, been around non-stop for 20 some odd years. Bobby Blitzer can really sing his ass off!!!

METAL!!!!!!!!!!!!
