Ministry and Meshuggah...last night at the cavernous venue known as the Sunshine Theatre.Yes, the Cave that is the Sunshine once again proved to be the ruiner of sound. Of course as soon as the place filled up with rabid fans for Ministry, everything fell right into place. Or my ears were just shot from Meshuggah's set. (prolly that was it). Still very much into Meshuggah's stuff live. Unreal. I love their sound, even if it was mostly bouncing around the Cave with nothing to strap it down. Ministry: WOW! What a great set they played. I don't even own any Ministry, but holy fuck! The energy was top-notch and I imagine hell is one huge orgy with Ministry as the house band. The highlight of the evening was the introduction of none other than BURTON C. BELL. I thought I'd fall down and die. Though I did fall down, I didn't die. I just about lost my seeing eye glasses and have some weird scratches on my face. Other than that, I'm still alive. The Cave has yet to get me. Good times. -------------------- What the fuck is wrong with drinking tea?

"...ruiner of sound" - Great name for a band!. "Though I did fall down, I didn't die." - Good to hear. "...seeing eye glasses..." - Just funny. "The Cave has yet to get me." - It was blessed the day Voivod first played there way back in 1990.

hahhaa yes, Ruiner Of Sound will b our name for the new project with Budda from Stoic! Good thing Luna didn't take her seeing eye dog to the show. damn shame i went to work instead of the show! -------------------- theres only so many double kick drum'd songs with singers shouting the F word you can take before it becomes extremely dull.

...so I will of course be at the Winnipeg show.
and Seattle: July 22 - WAMU Theatre - Seattle, WA It made for a funny headline on Blabbermouth. People were wondering if there's a Seattle in Canada too. I will be in Sweden by then, making tacos for dinner and preparing for Wacken so sadly no Priest for me. -------------------- ummm.....I got nothin' today :-(

A festival (Maquinária Rock Fest) that a good friend of mine nicknamed "LoserFest". Check out some of the bands expected to come and see if the guy is right - Biohazard; - Suicidal Tendencies; - Misfits; - Tristania; - Sepultura; - Ratos de Porão. Oh, I'm going btw, just to see Suicidal. Well, Mike actually. -------------------- "Forty-five moments of perfection translated through a cautionary escape into the perils of the mundane, the inherent entropy in ultimate order, and the potential threats of eternal, unchecked apathy in civilization; all cloaked in musical expression so thoughtful, creative and forward thinking that almost a quarter-century later, few can even comprehend it, much less match it."
