"Their most recent album was 2003's Voivod, which saw the return of original vocalist Denis "Snake" Belanget and the return of bassist Jasun Newstead."

I didn't know JasUn was a returning member?
And Snake changed his last name

Nice to see Denis getting recognition across a wide spectrum of music sites.
Thanks Vince for the link.

We need to give them an A+ for trying though!

This is a pretty well known Prog site that did me a favor (they've been favorable to Death & Taxe$ recordings). I gave one of their writers a call and asked her to at least make mention of him. I told her how influential Piggy was to us and how because of Voivod, many metal heads became interested in Prog.
Anyway, she had only heard OF them, but didn't know their music or history. She put that together for me last night and posted it. I thought that was pretty cool...even if she did make some miscues!

I was just joking about the spelling errors, hell, it's not the first time that happened and won't be the last.

Very cool of her to post the remarks about someone she never heard of.

I checked the site out a bit, and Death & Taxes are by far the most immovative and heavy band on there. Most of those "progressive" bands are rehashing the same thing that's been done forever. I'm sure there's a few other's on there I haven't heard of that are more original, though.

Maybe this will get some other progheads to check out Voivod, and learn some new technics.
