I'm looking for more information on VOIVOD non-album tracks.

They covered Venom's "In League With Satan" which was released on the "In The Name Of Satan" compilation in 1994.
According to the booklet "VOI-VOD appear by kind permission of M.C.A. RECORDS". So I guess this track was recorded during "The Outer Limits" sessions using the same lineup. What do you think?

VOIVOD also covered the "Captain Scarlet" theme song which was released on the "Flashback" compilation (Discos Del Toro Records – Toro-0001). I don't have this CD so I don't know when it was released, unfortunately.
This YouTube video states 1999, this bio says 2000, and Discogs claims 2001.
In addition to that there's confusion about the vocalist on this track. Many fans think it's Snake, but I think it's Eric instead.
Does anybody happen to know when this track was recorded?
Can anybody shed more light on this?

In addition to that, are there other VOIVOD non-album tracks?

Venom tribute is funny - it's Abaddon's project, he plays on most of the tracks with one or two guys of the claimed bands. Except Voivod, which seems to have recorded the song without his help. However, I remember somebody saying (maybe here, maybe elsewhere - maybe it was Skulhed?) that there's only Snake and Piggy and a drum machine on this recording. Don't quote me on this one, I'm really not sure

The second track you mention I haven't heard anything about, thanks for sharing.

There was also a Die Kreuzen cover song Man In The Trees released on the Lean Into It tribute compilation.

I believe this was their last recording with Piggy alive, Jasonic lineup (not counting two posthumous albums).

The Nile Song single contains a rare live version of Tribal Convictions recorded live at The Roxy, West Hollywood, CA.

Fix My Heart and We Carry On singles contain radio edits of the title songs.

A radio edit of 21CSM appears on Japanese edition of Phobos.

There were also a couple of B-sides from Eric era released on Nanoman single and Negatron Japanese edition, eventually found their way to Kronik (if you can call these "non-album" tracks).

What about 'Condemned To The Gallows'?

Thank you for your reply, hexonut!
I didn't know that about the Venom tribute. I think I only ever listened to the VOIVOD track and I like it so I hope the whole band was involved.

Thank you for your reply, AngelRat!
I didn't mention "Condemned To The Gallows" because it was included on disc 1 of the "War And Pain" box set which Metal Blade released in 2004.

Yeah. I knew 'Condemned' was on the WAP box set. I only realised after posting it. But since it wasn't part of the original album I had to mention it anyway.

What about the 'Day By Day' and 'Confrontation' songs they played on the 2001 tour and were supposed to be on the follow-up to 'Phobos' but since after E-Force's dismissal that album was never realised, none of these songs ever saw the light of day.

Thank you for your reply, AngelRat!

I strongly hope "Day By Day" and "Confrontation" will be released along with the ten other songs of the 2001 album demo. It was supposed to be on "D-V-O-D-2" which was first mentioned in 2005, i.e. more than twelve years ago ... But Away's art book and the re-releases of "Rrröööaaarrr", "Killing Technology", and "Dimension Hatröss" took similarly long so I will keep my fingers crossed!

Sorry I must interrupt here to say something that perhaps you guys never really figure out! What ever "the says of "some band member, it never depend of his decision, specially in the case of Voivod. If there is something that I know for sure with this band, nothing is further to the reality. Nor book, nor re-release, dvd, etc would have been possible without the companies involve, basically the band had no money so no pushing. It just happen because someone else did it and or pay for it. Be real patient, LOL

Thank you for sharing your view, Blacky! This is very valuable. I really would like you to reconsider and take time to write your autobiography.
I do hope the companies involved will push the release of further VOIVOD DVDs, of course.
