Hi there! According to Encyclopaedia Metallum the "2001 Album Demo" was released here at VOIVODFan somewhen. Is this true? If so, would anybody mind sharing it with me, please? -------------------- ... we are connected ...

Actually, that note on Encyclopaedia Metallum is incorrect. The owner of the Voivod.net site was allegedly given a copy of this demo by the band back in 2001 or so, but I'm not aware that it's ever been shared out or otherwise distributed. Doesn't seem like DVOD2 is ever going to happen, so unsure when/if this will ever see the light of day. There is a pretty good sounding audience bootleg from 2000 in which they play Confrontation and Day By Day live. Setlist: Lee's Palace, Toronto, ON (October 13, 2000) Also - E-Force covers the track Victory on their 2nd album Modified Poison which is nice. That's all I've heard from this. Hopefully it surfaces someday. Kinda like the holy grail of Voivod demos for sometime now. -------------------- I am a robot... bleep blop bloop

I see, thanks a lot for your helpful reply, X-D!Yes, I read his comments at http://voivod.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1568. I'm still hopeful for "D-V-O-D-2" considering how long it took for "Worlds Away: Voivod & the Art Of Michel Langevin" or the remastered reissues of "Rrröööaaarrr", "Killing Technology", and "Dimension Hatröss" to finally get released. I'm especially interested in the "2001 Album Demo" because it's the final chapter of the Voivod story. So it really is like the Holy Grail! In 2003 Away even said they would release it on their website. That would work for me, too! I really like the E-Force cover of "Victory" but I don't know the bootleg, unfortunately. Have you seen the video of their show at the 2000 "Metal For The Brain" in Canberra, Australia? That and my own memories make me want to watch the live footage (Dynamo 1996, e.g.), the video clips for "Insect" and "The Tower", etc. they mentioned when they announced "D-V-O-D-2" all these years ago! -------------------- ... we are connected ...
