Richard Christy's(drummer for Death's last album) new project is called Charred Walls of the Damned. He got Tim Ripper Owens to sing on it. I've always been a fan of both of these guys and was surprised to hear they had written an album together. And unsuprisingly, its pretty damn good IMO..hit up 'Ghost Town':

Well, both of them were in Iced Earth, just before Christy went to join the Howard Stern show.

Interesting, gonna check it out.

I think Ripper is one of the best singers in all of Metal. Period. His work with Priest was...well, those albums aren't all that great but he's an extremely talented guy who did the old material better than Halford has been able to as of late. His singing on Iced Earth's The Glorious Burden (especially in the Gettysburg trilogy) is some of the best singing done in Metal in the last decade. His vocals on Something Wicked part 1 are stunning too. Check out The Clouding. Wicked. I'll give this a listen for sure. I really love Richard Christy's drumming too. Especially on Death's The Sound Of Perseverance.

I dig Owen's voice. I thought the Priest: Live In London dvd and cd and pretty damn good. Considering how he started out in a tribute band and really made a name for himself agter Halford came back (which i was thrilled about because they really needed his lyrical input), i give the guy a shit load of credit. I need to pick up the stuff he did with Iced Earth

"Charred Walls of The Damned" Sounds like a AUTOPSY song/album" Maybe Richard Christy should hook up with Sean Reinert.

But then, some people just CAN'T branch out. Whereas those that do wind up releasing albums like "The Elder" and "Cold Lake"

The Elder is probably my favorite Kiss album... probably because it's the most "un-Kiss" album!!!
