Blacky you're great ! I really thank you !
You see i want to be good prepared for the live concert in Athens ! I'm a very old fan (since '83 or '85)and had a great relation with Manipulator and all the fan club in the late 80's. I got interviewed several times for Voivod (and for my band)because i knew 'more' for them than other Greeks and in some way i tried hard to make Voivod famous here.I even saw my name in the special thanks list of Nothingface album!! My collection is also noticeable ! Why i'm saying all this?? Because it's funny how i got lost from all this and now i'm asking information instead offering !! Thanks again for this !!

which one was you ? There were a couple a fans writing from Greece, and Turkey also wich always surprised me, along with the letters from East Germany and Japan. It was all very special to me, it was like travel

Kalamari with retsina ?? Great man,great food as well as octopus in the coil with ouzo !! lol
I'm Periklis Tsoukalas. As i remember i had purchased almost everything from the fan club !!

Even stickers. But i really love the demos which i have now transfer from tape to hard disc. Everybody in Athens keep were saying that if Voivod come for a gig my band were to play the support !!! But...nobody ever invite Voivod to come.They bring other bands,so we got an invitation to play support for Candlemass,and we did.It must be 1988-'89.

thanks Blacky for that list! I have one question to add!! Will Voivod be playing this set throughout the whole European tour? That would mean you'd have a high place on the bill in Waldrock and play for over one hour ??????

Nope. I might be going to Fortarock in Nijmegen. Check it out! Dillinger escape Plan, Meshuggah, Moonspell, Satyricon etc. And only a stonedistance from home...

Voivod is something really unique... especially until Blacky was in band. Very characteristic sound and i remember it was the ONLY band playing like this far from others. Like Celtic Frost in their kind (but sometimes sounded like others as well....), Voivod 'established' a school in a new music combined Thrash,Psychedelic,Hard core,Hard rock/metal (solos). BTW Is this Blacky in the forum the Voivod Blacky ??? 'cause i see he's the 2nd member of this forum !!

Excellent selection - old skool Voivod at its finest. "Treasure Chase" is from the new album, correct? If only you guys could throw in a few other newer ones.

While you're at it, how about something from The Outer Limits? And no Nothingface/Phobos? (yeah, I know, Snake can't hit those high screams very well.)

Heck, how about a three-hour set? Now THAT would be great! You guys don't need no stinkin' rest, just snort some more Red Bull.
