I can think of a couple of cool Liberatore signature edition guitars and basses.

Thats a sweet looking axe man, noting the Neck-thru design too, gives great action.

It is based on a Jackson Warrior, that's what Dan use also, but his Jackson have seen hell and needed to be restored, Mauro did that job also, but then he wanted a new guitar and for about the same amount of money he could get something that was personalized, amazingly built with a unique tone, that is why he didnt want paint on it only a stain with mat lacquer, that way he gets the full sound of the wood. The interesting thing about guitar built that way is with age the guitar just gets better, like my 5 string for example, it was built in 89 and today the tone is much more pronounced than when it was built, the wood got dryer I suppose but also I played a lot with it, and playing makes a huge difference with an instrument, it sort of gives it a life. I think this was the 455th guitar he built. My bass was the 113th.

That thing is sweet. Reminds me of the finish on my old 'The Paul' Gibby. How much do these go for?

It looks as though it isn't a "bolt-on" neck...which is damn cool!

The body is made with ash wood and the neck is maple, it is a neck-through guitar, like my bass. Ash is actually pretty nice wood, it is not as heavy as maple but still has a lot of resonance to it. It usually takes about 4 to 6 months to build an entire guitar.

Nice pix...however, I wish I could've seen the headstock (it's cut off in both pictures). I've always liked how cool the headstock on the Blower Bass (R)(TM) looks; the wacky angles & the gigantor machine-heads.

just scroll through the rest of the 50 photos. There's bound to be at least one in there. Not to mention you'll run across the photo of his fountain of hair hanging towards the depths of hell! Awesome picture, that one!

Ah, there they are...didn't pay attention to the buttons near the top of the screen. The headstock screams "Jackson", until you look closer & see "Liberatore". Floyd Rose tuning, I see... hmmm...

Is there a way we can convince Liberatore to make more guitars? Blacky, et. al. could make some extra $$$ by desigining the instruments; if Liberatore doesn't have enough production capacity, they should license the designs to some bigger company - hey, Epiphone is making Les Pauls these days, right?

Sigh...I can dream, can't I?
