I saw Anthrax live for the 1st time ever this last Friday and the show was awesome! They've played in Brazil once before but I couldn't catch 'em live then. It was a great experience to see them after all these years.

Anyway, the band (or what is left of the Anthrax I used to know) still deliver the goods and the set-list was killer ("NFL", "Got the Time", "Caught in a Mosh", "Madhouse", "Anti-Social", "Bring the Noise", "Metal Thrashing Mad", etc).

Scott doesn't seem to have changed much since the early 90's (except for the tattoos) and he's still the best rhythm-guitarrist in the metal scene. John Bush suprised me too. The guy's got a great voice live and is a good communicator too.

Well, that was it. Just wanted to share the experience. Twenty years was well-worth the wait.

I saw then back the mid'80's together with Celtic Frost, Metal Church, Crimson Glory and two other bands i can't remember right now. Antrax is a band that indeed deliver the goods. Although i did not follow them for a very long time.

I like Anthrax more now with Bush than I did back in the 80's. I do miss Spitz' guitar work though. It should be interesting seeing them reunited at the Ozzfest this year.

i've said it before and I'll say it again:
BUSH BREATHED NEW LIFE INTO ANTHRAX.

THEY ARE WAY HEAVIER AND COOLER THAN EVER, and I've loved Anthrax from the very first album when Neil Turbin was doing his Halford impersonations!!!

Aren't they rumored to be playing Ozz Fest this year.....along with IRON MAIDEN?!?!

Damn, do I have to shell out the big bucks again for this? I hear Mastodon will be playing too. Cool.

Yeah, Bush is technically better than Joey but then Ripper is technically better than Rob...

Saw Anthrax couple of years back with Motorhead - both bands I saw in 89 (my first two gigs) and both were miles better this time around.

I still prefer Joey and Spitz though. Nostalgia, no getting around it.

btw - the new SYL album is (can't think of the right words), and sounds like (uh...) mixed with (phhhhhh...nope) and I've bought it twice.

What do ya mean "technically" better singer.

Both Halford and Bush are just way stronger singers than Belladonna and Ripper. Bush has way better delivery and aggression, and Halford, well he's a fuckin' GOD amond singers, nothing needs to be said.

I do understand the nostalgia with Anthrax and reliving the good ole days when JB was stompin around and wearing the Indian headdress.
