Woman breaks both legs by jumping up and down

A US woman broke both legs when she jumped up and down to complain about loud music in the flat below hers.

Toni Lynn Lycan, 44, lost her temper when her neighbour in an apartment block in Ridgefield, Washington, increased the volume of his stereo.

She shouted at Allen Haines, 27, to turn it down, but he grabbed a broom and banged it on his ceiling.

The infuriated Lycan then jumped up in the air and slammed both feet on the floor - hard enough to break both legs about four inches below the kneecap.

The injuries were discovered when police officers were sent to the apartments.

Man, I'd love to see that happen to good charlotte when they all do that crappy pop-punk-jump thing that's all the rage with retarded 7 year olds.

And Busted, H. Don't forget Busted. I had a Busted fantasy once, actually. It involved knocking them onto their backsides, pulling out a gun and shooting them repeatedly in the face...

...well I'm not done yet.

I ask you: how can a person jump up and down?

One can only jump up and then be pulled back down. (This, courtesy of "your friend and mine" - Gravity yes, Gravity. ...why is gravity our friend? WELL! If there were no gravity, not only would everything on Earth ~including ALL THAT WATER~ be suddenly & violently FLUNG into space, our entire Solar System and galaxy {known as 'The Milky Way'} [not to be confused with the delicious candy bar of the same name - if it WERE the candy bar, there would have been a teeeeny little TM symbol next to it, which stands for 'Trademark'] ...would behave the same way, and all matter in the entire universe would be sent careening off in all directions; it would be like a mega-outbreak of non-explosive Supernovae, or like nebulae in reverse! ALL Galaxies would dissolve and dissipate and any hope or chance of life continuing to exist anywhere would be all at once CRUSHED, MANGLED and PULVERIZED and thrown out like a cheap suit)

By this time, that stupid woman would be WISHING she could hear some music.
ANY music. Even "Puddle of Mudd".
Dumb bitch.

LOL Tangento. Obviously if you just leap into the air the end result is that gravity will return you to the ground. But a person can certainly control how they jump "down". Jumping is the action of propelling yourself into space (vertically, or horizontally, but that's a whole other kettle of fish) but it includes the descent, as well as what is often referred to as airtime, ie. the midpoint of the jump. If dancers, ice skaters, gymnasts, etc., didn't learn how to take off AND land you would see a lot of people falling - or landing like deadweights (which is what Ms. Lycan appears to have done.).

"...And as soon as the sound of human tibias snapping simultaneously followed by a loud thud and an eerie blood-curdling bitch-wail had ceased, the volume was increased ever louder."

Me, I turn my music up loud to protest my goddamned noisy upstairs neighbors always jumping around! I swear those people are on speed...they clean 24 hours a day, and run around their apartment. Their TEENY ONE-BEDROOM APARTMENT! Running is not required in the small amount of space they have to cover between the bedroom and the kitchen. 10 steps should just about do it. God I hate being on the second floor...

Yeah Megan! That's the right thing to do! Put "RROOAARR" in your CD and turn up the volume! No need to brake any legs for stupid neighbours!..... Me, I live downstairs so I have all my neighbours on top of me. What gets me mad is when they turn on the saturday night "disco music"! My revenge is playing rrooaarr or Killing Technology on a VERY high volume sunday morning!.....

Nice to "read" your post again, I sure missed you.

Cheers!

If you with bagpipe music means Royal Scots Dragoon Guards or the Irish D G ...... then haha yourself... I happen to like that kind of music, hmmm men in Kilt.
If you mean something else, then you're right, it would be science to me.

Cheers!
