Has anybody seen this yet? I was wondering if it was worth it. During my comics stage, I was more into the Punisher and X-Men than Spiderman.

I have a huge spiderman comic book collection. It hasn't been updated in years (and probably won't be) but I am looking forward to seeing the new movie. I have all the cheesy 70's movies on tape, and they rule!!! The new one hasn't opened in the UK yet. I think they are waiting until the hype from star wars II dies down.

I liked the X-MEN Movie.
Didnt the guy who played Wolverine...also play that Hacker part in Swordfish?
I could go to IMDB to find out...but am too lazy.

I dont plan on seeing Spiderman till it hits DVD.

H...Do you have the Incredible Hulk Movies too?
I really liked those & the TV Series too.
Every episode was the same...
Somebody would piss-off David Banner...He would say ..."Dont make me mad...you wont like me when i'm mad."...then he would turn into Lou Ferrigno (sp) and be all big & green & stinky & snarly....and throw stuff & people around the room. Till the Cops came & he ran away. Next scene...David Banner has new Clothes.

How cool is THAT on some Weed?

I saw Spider-Man on opening day and it FUCKIN' BLEW ME AWAY!!! I'm a HUGE Spider-Man FREAK so I am a tad biased in my opinion but IT IS THE GREATEST COMIC BOOK ADAPTATION EVER!!!
They did a great job, it's like watching a comic book (and not in a gay Dick Tracy kind of way). Decent FX, great script, AWESOME costumes and perfect casting. J.K. Simmons is the perfect J.Jonah Jamison.
Oh and Kirsten Dunst is a total hottie as a red-head! Yum yum!
X-Men was good too. Hugh Jackman (Wolverine) was also in Swordfish and yes, THAT was a piece of shit.
X-Men 2 should be cool. Rumour has it that Nightcrawler will be played by Kevin Dillon. Good Choice. I hope Omega Red is in it. Juggernaut would be cool too.

The hulk? That was cool too... I always prefered the Bionic man ( or six million dollar man as he was called in the US). They had one episode where the bionic man has to rescue the bionic woman from a breed of eternally young aliens who live in a mountain with their pet bigfoot yeti. What more could you possibly cram into a 30 minute show?????

h, I think that was a 2 part show and Bigfoot was played by Andre The Giant. Remember that cool blue tunnel that would spin around? Or at least I think it did. And wasnt The 6 million Dollar Man a one hour show?

I grew up reading DC comics but I thought the X-MEN movie was the best comic-made-movie so far. I hear that SPIDEY blows it away, and I can't wait to see it.

H,
I religiously watch the 6 Million Dollar Man (and the HULK) when growing up, and remember the episode you were referring to...COOL!!! Remember the bionic dog the Bionic Woman had. Now they're just called pit bulls and they don't need cyborg parts.

How about H.R. PUFFINSTUFF? Sid and Marty Croft came up with some tripped out shows when I was a kid in front of the idiot box.

thanx for the memories.

i saw Spiderman and thought it was pretty good, it has sequel (or rather 3quel) written all over it, i've heard it deviates quite a bit from the original story and some details, but it entertained me.

Shit man! I forgot about the blue tunnel!!! That was so cool. And he runs through it about 40 times in that episode!!! Good memories, obviously shortened in time by my smoked out brain cells!!! I think you're right - it was a 60 minute show.... and that was a 2 parter! You memory serves you well ImranX! Impressive....

Yeah! The dog was funny man! I gotta admit I had a bit of a crush on Jamie Summers (think that was the bionic womans name) when I was 6 (or 26!!)... but can you guys remember when the bionic man sang her a love song called "Jamie"??? That was hilarious. None more cheese.

H-
What healthy boy didn't love Jamie Summers?
Lindsay Wagner actually owns a beach house in Bethany Beach around where I live but I've never seen her...maybe because she runs 60 miles per hour on the beach, and super-jumps from her 3rd floor deck to the beach to keep away from fans, and the Russian Government thats trying to steal secrets...

I think Lee Majors (Steve Austin) and William Shatner (Capt Kirk) should make an album, and Oscar Goldman and Spock could make a guest appearance!!!

I just saw the Bionic Woman in Albuquerque a couple of weeks ago! She was surrounded by fans taking pictures and one of them had a knife. I tried to warn her, "Lindsay, she's got a knife!" I whispered across the crowded room, so as to not scare everyone into a panic, there was about 15,000 people there. In slow motion, of course - the Bionic Woman cocked her head slightly as she swept her hair from her ear. I whispered again, "Look out Lindsay, she's got a knife!". She didn't hear me, it was too late.

The autopsy report said she that the batteries were low in her bionic ear. I bet she wasn't even using Energizers - doh!

If I had known that this topic was going to come up, I would have definitely had my picture taken with her .

I think we have all been slightly traumatized growing up watching too much TV, and this tread proves it.

I think Jamie Sommers real name was Lindsy Wagner and she was chosen for that part because there was a lot of slow motion running involved in her role and she had small breasts. Back then they considered it offensive for breasts to be bouncing all over the place on TV. But even back then they would show people getting shot or killed in another way and that was not considered offensive. A few years ago here in NYC on a local network, "Halloween" was being shown and in the scene when P.J. Soles was on the bed and Michael Myers was covered in a sheet pretending to be her boyfriend, at the foot of her bed, she asks, "See anything you like?" And exposes her breasts. The editors or whomever is in charge of that type of stuff at the studio did not edit peoperly and a little bit of her nipple was shown. Immediately that station received phone call after phone call by people who were outraged about their children seeing a females nipple on public television. What strikes me odd is that these same were allowiong their obviously young children to watch a movie about a murderer stabbing people to death and that was OK. But God forbid they see a female nipple!! Now is it just me or does that make no sense at all?

It funny that you met Ms Wagner, and now here we are bringing up her past.
