President Bush gave a talk at the Athena Performing Arts Center at Greece Athena Middle and High School Tuesday, May 24, 2005 in Rochester, NY. Bush traveled to Rochester, trying to win support for his proposed overhaul of the Social Security system.

About half way through the event Bush came out with this gem:

"See in my line of work you got to keep repeating things over and over and over again for the truth to sink in, to kind of catapult the propaganda."

...and as far as your question goes, I wondered if you are always so forgiving of Republican politicians. If some Democrap made a statement like Bush did, you'd be all over it like stink on a running shoe, IMO.

What's dumber, the politicians or the voters that support the same two-party system?

Ahhh...yes, libs, go ahead and make fun. But it won't be so funny down the road when the funds run out...and you'll look back and go..damn, maybe we should have tried to do something about social security.

Hey Mez - I agree with the overhaul of the soc. sec. system. It's Bush's QUOTE that is retarded. Doesn't matter what issue it was in reference to.

And don't call me a lib.

Misuse of those terms is common. But in all honesty infoterror you have had more than your fair share of characters on anus.com where those accusations have been more than justified.

The political persuation of a person does not really come into it when I look at the people I socialise with. I have friends who are right and left wing and we have quite heated debates about issues, but at the end of the day we enjoy each other's company and respect the fact we can articulate our opinions even if we don't necessarily agree with them.

i think its awesome that leftists misuse the word "propaganda" but when the President uses it properly, its cool. as in "hey, im just spouting propaganda, people! hahaha!"

as for the whole social security issue...they should just let whoever wants to give their money to Wall Street do it. let it be choice-driven. then when everyone loses their ass, it will only be their fault, not Bush's.

oh yeah, "libs" = teehee. some of you wish there were more libs posting here. then all the propaganda soaked up from right-wing websites would actually have some real relevance to posts made here.

I dunno, I think Dubya missed his calling as a game show host or tv evangelist perhaps.
