Ever heard of politeness and respect for others' opinions? Calling people idiots doesn't sound big, or clever, nor does it make your point more valid.

On the other hand, Chomsky's a good writer. Stupidly clever man, too, not content with founding modern linguistics, his political stuff is good too.

No, you just don't agree with him. Difference.

This, my friend, is what a moron looks like:

quote:
CHICAGO Alan Keyes compared voting for Barack Obama (ber-AHK' oh-BAH'-muh) to committing a mortal sin.

The Republican Keyes says Obama stands for the destruction of innocent life and against the male-female family.

He also said Catholics who vote for the Democratic Obama make themselves part of that evil, just like people in Germany who supported the Nazi Party did.

Keyes made his comments yesterday when asked about Obama's appearance at a Chicago Catholic church.

Obama dismissed Keyes' comments. He said it will be clear tomorrow that voters reject Keyes' message.

Obama won by a record landslide of 73%. I have faith in the people of Illinois' ability to spot a nutcase.

Because a man has an alternative point of view does not make him a "moron". He likely based his views off an interpretation of evidence, but this is how all views are formed. Going against the "popular" interpretation does not make him a moron - he can be wrong, and in this case, is, but he's far from being a moron. Just wrong.
