They forgot one little set of statistics, of course.c6,000: number of Iraqi civilians killed in coalition invasion of Iraq. 300,000 (and this is a very conservative estimate): number of Iraqi citizens murdered by Saddam Hussein during his 25-year reign of terror, manipulation, public execution, degradation and humiliation. Take your pick. Although Bush and Blair outright lied about WMD (none), Al-Qaeda connections (none) and Iraq's threat to neighbouring nations (none), removing Saddam Hussein was the single most noble act the west has achieved in the new century. It's just a shame it took so long (hello, Bush Snr; Clinton) for it to happen, and that it was conducted on such illogical and duplicitous rationales. If the fools had just said "it's our moral duty to relieve the millions who have suffered from the tyranny of fascist dictatorship", people would have been fine with it. Bush is a fool. It pains me that so many cannot see it - but he's such a convincing conman. His plans to change the constitution to fulfill his radical Christian agenda are despicable. He's an economic mismanager who would and will happily allow bullshit artists like Ken Lay to fuck millions of hard-working Americans (and Indians - remember Enron's Indian power plant?), to accuse anyone not fully backing his draconian and unneccessary homeland security measures of being in league with terrorists, and to continue to perpetuate the myth the world has about American Imperialism with his idiotic and badly-though through posturing on foreign policy. There is no American Empire, but the Bush Regime does a mighty fine job of making the world convince themselves there is. But all that said. He was right about Iraq, and Afghanistan. It is one of the greatest shames of the modern left that whole swathes of them, guided only by the idiotic tactics of "pure opposition", to march and protest in the defence of a fascist dictatorship.

No matter how hard you try, some people don't want know what's going on around them.Warcorpse, just wanted to say that you got my respect, primarily for having set up this great website, although your political view differs from mine.
Remember when I said Bush was a g.......d moron and I was wondering why some people on this board are able to like that being so much I wasn't particularly thinking of you. You have to understand that over here in Europe, especially where I live, GW Bush is seen as really stupid and evil.
